Controllers not receiving/missing commands?

I am running a looping 2 minute animation sequence for Halloween.  It is under the background tab in the show editor. Last year I had no issues.  This year it seems that some controllers are missing commands. For example, one of my AC controllers is suppose to just turn on a single C7 bulb in a pumpkin, so that channel in the sequence is at 100% for the entire two minutes. Saturday night the light was off for the first two minutes of the show until the sequence repeated.  Then it tuned on and stayed on.  Last night, a different controller (CMB24) failed to turn off the lights when the show shut down.  Any ideas on what could cause this?  Bad cable? Loose connection?

I’ve seen that with always on channels.  My solution has been to change to always on channel so it ramps from 100% to 99% and back once in a while - including the first post one interval.  You’ll never see the difference.
