5.0.16 expiration before 5.0.18 is released and running a show

Recommended Posts

I just saw Mike’s announcement about 5.0.16 expiration prior to the next beta release coming out.  I’m running my nightly landscaping show on 5.0.16.  Does that mean I will be dark until I can load 5.0.18?  I prefer not to go dark as that takes out the porch light, security light, and lights on the flags.

Jim:

Where did you see that announcement from Mike? I can't find it.

Thanks for the reference. I agree. I am using 5.0.16 and, as you do, I use it year-around for landscape purposes. I guess that we will just have to go dark for a couple of days. Of course that means that we can't work on sequencing either.

Me too, but not too excited to be dark for a night or two...

I haven't fired up my landscaping lights yet. Typically do it in March sometimes when the weather turns nicer.

I'm working on the build right now.  Unfortunately we are a little slow on this one since this is my first time doing a release, and I have to be super careful.

Sorry in advance if I don't get it out by midnight!

OK, I have 5.0.18 up.  Please test it out and let me know since this is my FIRST production build.

I saw the announcement and have already loaded it on my server (what runs the off season show).  It appears to be fine.  The evening show is "running", but wont start for about 2 hours when it gets dark and the trigger actually starts the show.  Thank you for getting it out today!

I'll load it into my laptop during my commute home in about an hour (no, I'm not driving :) - I take a train).

The title bar at the top.

Also, my show just started as it's getting dark here, so that's a good thing.  The trigger worked.  I won't be home for several hours, but take a look at a web camera shortly and make sure the lights are on.

The landscaping show ran perfectly in all regards last night on 5.0.18, including inter-actives, Windows command, LOR channels and E1.31 channels.  Please note my new post about E1.31 data flags.
