splicing two songs

I am going to sequence Happy Birthday for my wife's boss and I am planning on using a clip from anohter song as an intro. Can I use audacity to make it one song, or would it be easier or better to make two sequences and play them back to back? This needs to be done by the 22nd so I am looking for the easiest way to go about this. I am not familiar how to combine two songs into one with Audacity, but I am sure it is not that hard.

Jim, start by inporting your intro into track 1-2, then Birthday song into track 3-4. you can do a cross-fading of the tracks.

alway save your work copy, then do a Quick Mix. back to a tracks and ready for sequencing.

Thanks Jerry, I will look into that once I get home. I hope it is easy as you make it sound since I have to have the song sequenced, spliced, set up, and ready to go in a week and a half...........no pressure lol.

The one nice thing about doing this is that I get to have a chance to see my lights in action for the first time before I actually set up my display and see if there are things that I need to work on. I am excited to try it, it is just that there is not a lot of time to get it done LMAO.
