Pixel Question

Recommended Posts

I have a question concerning pixel strings with different max power and different max current.

For this question, I'm going to give links to 2 different products.

#1 -- Ray Wu 12V 12mm 50 node WS2811 (https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/DC12V-WS2811-pixel-node-50pcs-a-string-IP68-rated-epoxy-resin-filled-with-all-black-wire/701799_867072780.html?spm=2114.12010615.0.0.12c3744furhuU5)

#2 -- A different Ray Wu 12V 12mm 50 node WS2811(https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/50pcs-DC12V-addressable-12mm-WS2811-led-smart-pixel-node-with-all-GREEN-wire-20AWG-IP68-rated/701799_32727364075.html?spm=2114.12010615.0.0.7bf4a7318294jv)

They are all WS2811 and all are 12mm nodes. Yet, the watts and amps are different.

#1 above is: 0.3W and 30ma

#2 above is: 0.6W and 50ma

What does this mean in terms of the pixels? Is one going to be brighter than the other? If not, why the difference is power/current?
