Newbie here with a basic set-up question.

Back-ground: I purchased a ShowTime Central Starter Package with 3 additional CTB16PC and 1 CTB04-PC-ELL controllers. (68 channels)

I’ve Set-Up each of the of the CTB16PC controllers and assigned them with unit ID’s 1, 2, 3 & 4. I also assigned the CTB04-PC-ELL with unit ID 5.

I’m in the process of installing them around my house / yard and I have the following question: As I connect the Cat-5 cables between each of the CTB16PC’s do I have to start with Unit 1 and then to Unit 2 and then to 3 and then to 4 and then (via the ELL) to 5?  Or can they be randomly set-up like 2, 3, 5, 4, 1? Or can the controllers be set-up in a reversed order? (4, 3, 2, 1, 5?)

All of the cat-5/6 connectors are common to all others on the same dongle. If you have separate dongles for normal and another for RGB, you will have 2 separate common circuits.
