Dimming curves on pre-g3 16-ch controllers

Hello,

This help page states:

The Hardware Utility's Advanced Configuration screen can be used to set dimming curves for Gen3 controllers, or for pre-Gen3 controllers that have Gen3 firmware installed.

I am struggling to find out how to install gen-3 firmware on my non-gen3 controllers. The specific model of the controller that I was working with at the moment is the blue CTB16DV5; it is already on firmware version 4.32.

Is there any way for me to gain access to dimming curves on my older controllers?

Unless I'm mistaken, the hardware is different and you can't install Gen3 firmware into an older controller.

I did, this was their reply:

Engineering had plans for a G3 upgrade path for the older controllers but they ran into some issues. Only G3 designed controllers can be G3 controllers. Dimming curves are not an option for earlier models.
