IGOR Posted March 23, 2016 Share Posted March 23, 2016 I also got one from Superstar lights. The kit is well thought out. Holes Drilled perfictly, LED string has exact number of Leds for each channel. My upgrades were to replaced the screws that are used to assemble star with stainless screws so rust on the star would not be a problem later on. I also sealed the joints with Goop glue. I just don't want water getting inside the Star. I mounted mine on 1/2" fiber board so I could mount the end of the CCR's to an area between the bottom 2 points of the star. Turned out nice. They work great but I just ordered this https://www.christmaslightshow.com/24-rgb-star-flare-metal-frame-only.html I am switching completely over to rgb and the 6 channel star will be the last thing to go. k6ccc Posted April 4, 2016 Share Posted April 4, 2016 I am using a somewhat custom version of Brian's star. He did not drill the holes in the front face and I have RGB strip on the inside. It came out very well, but I'm rebuilding the RGB inside to increase the number of pixels from 360 to almost 600. There are photos on my website, but as I type this, my web server is down so you can't see them.
