aesl1982
Has anyone messed with or is there a recommended baud rate to have the comments ports set to. Looks like a lot of options to set it at.
k6ccc
I assume that you really meant Comm Port and your phone "corrected" it for you. The faster speeds allow you to control more channels. The slower speeds are more robust which would allow you to build a crappier network (not that I recommend that). Unless you are controlling a lot of pixels, the slower speeds will do fine for you. CLD Kevin
Distance plays a factor too. 115k and 500k doesn't work well with long runs and multi-split networks. This doesn't apply to 98%. Unfortunately the commercial shows I work on are in the 2% and run 56.7k....and you can see the slight lag.
aesl1982
I'm talking about the baud rate in the computer settings for each comm port. Not the LOR speed settings.
k6ccc
The software overrides that, so it does no matter.

Mr. P
Also keep in mind that the higher baud rates need to use the high speed adapters as the the standard USB485 which comes with the kit is only good for the slower speeds.
