PM 01 Visualizer Exits without save with ESC from Render Screen

While in Playback ( render mode) pressing  the ESC key causes an exit of the Visualizer. Pending changes are not saved and the usual "do you wish to save dialog" is not presented. Visualizer closes completely without saving any changes.

I was expecting an exit from full screen to windowed, since the stop button was off screen at that time.
