I've used http://www.creativedisplays.com/ and have not had a problem with a single string.  (The yearly sale is going on now)

I'v also heard that http://www.holiday-light-express.com/ is good, but have not used them.  (A yearly sale is also gong on now here too)

Built my own mega tree:

The rest come from sales near or after Christmas.  I've also had a wire frame deer wander up to my front porch for adoption.

For regular non-changing strands I just buy bulk at Dollar General lol. But for controllers and RGB's I buy from www.creativelightingdisplays.com

I have bought most of my LED lights from CDI as well.  Hands down their lights have never failed!  I'll be buying more once again during this sale...

I've bought from retailers online and vendors here plus BigLots, Target and Lowes. As for my megatrees, I built them from scratch.

Last year I just stocked up after Christmas wherever I could get my hands on stuff. Planning on doing the same this year and then filling in the gaps with what I may need with an order from holiday light express or one of the other vendors already mentioned. Going to sit down this week before christmas and at least roughly plan what I am adding for next year so I have a shopping list to take with me on Friday. Lol.

If you are looking for RGB lighting, we will be starting our pre-sale at the start of February.  Pricing this year on most items will be below even what you can get from Ray and we'll be offering up free shipping on larger orders.

Will you have a price list prior to the sale? It says pre-sale links will be available during pre-sale dates, but it would be nice to have a list of what the prices will be.

this was my first year doing anything at all... a complete noob.

I started with 4 LOR controllers but fell in love with RGB. I started bugging and harassing David at holiday coro and ended up with 5000 RGB channels on top of the 64 LOR channels. His prices are good even not on sale especially when you factor in all the videos, articles, email, chat and phone calls... Yes David is a wonderful guy to purchase from. He always made sure every question was fully answered and that I knew exactly what I was doing. His product, prices, support and warranties are top notch. I highly recommend checking out David at holiday coro. I plan on buying more from him for next season as I am going to do a pixel mega tree, a matrix as well as outline the house in RGB.

Cant say enough good things about Holiday Coro.  Definitely worth every penny spent.  He's now offering lower cost alternatives to the Pixlite smart controllers  My first year with RGB and smart controllers, definitely a learning curve, but eventually I got there with David's help.  Plus he's already got a string of pixel nodes listed for pre-sale.
