Dan Maslyk
I just finished my second CTB16PC and I am now in full panic mode. Plugged in the unit and the LED is flashing. When I plug in the Cat 5e the light goes solid. But when I try to initialize in Hardware it doesn't find it "0 found".
Push Eject
You're plugging it in by itself, right? Selecting Any Units in previous id?Edit: "any" was "all"
Dan Maslyk
Its the only one plugged in. So when I push the refresh button to search the network it finds 0 found
Push Eject
Perhaps you need to assign its ID. In the hardware utility under Old Unit ID select Any Unit and under New Unit ID pick whatever number you want it to be (e.g. "1").Let 'er rip then see what you find when you scan your network.Charlie
Dan Maslyk
You sir are a genius! GENIUS! Works like a champ. Strange that it doesn't have a problem with the other controller. Thanks.
Push Eject
I'm using two 16PCs this year for the first time and getting used to the software assigned IDs too.Cheers!
Bret LeFevre
I had the same problem with 4 PC units this year. I remembered from last year that in the hardware utility on the left of the screen it had ID's and these units did not. So I thought why not and configured them, 3, 4, 5, 6 and then plugged them all in and clicked refresh and BAM! there they are. I did need to update the harware utility so I could see what software versions these were running. All's ok now.
LightORamaDan
CTB16PC cards are delivered without a Unit ID. You have to set the ID with the Hardware Utility
