GaryBo
I don’t know if this has been covered before, but some suggestions for outside music speakers.I have put together a system that plays my Christmas music to external speakers in the yard. They are co-ordinated with my Light-O-Rama sequences. I play the music with Light-O-Rama software.I picked up some large speakers (approx 3' tall) at local garage sales. Paid $5.00 pr for six speakers. Hooked them up to audio out, on my computer, as all my Christmas songs have been converted to mp3's and are stored on hard drive. I put a stereo amplifier (from an old stereo/phono system that I had) between computer and speakers (computer out, to amplifier, to speakers). The sound is phenomenal, with no distortion. I have seen some stereo amplifiers at local garage sales, very reasonable. You can pick up speaker wire, connector parts, etc at Radio shack, Home Depot, or similar store. To protect the speakers from outside elements, I have covered them in a black plastic garbage bag and sealed with clear packaging tape. Works great
Cedar City Mike
Rock speakers are a great way to hide the sound coming from your display. I have 2 sets positioned in hidden locations in bushes and under trees. They look like rocks and extremely weather resistant (snow and rain are prevelant in Southern Utah this time of year) and I have had no problems from the.Downside is they are about $80 a pair at home depot but they have lasted me going on 6 years now of daily use in the summer and this will be the second winter incorporated into my LOR display.Mike

Works greatI'm going to be using a FM transmitter, so my plan is to put some battery powered FM radios at strategic spots around the perimeter. Weather proofing with garbage bags is a good idea. Robin
I use four outdoor speakers from Best Buy $29.95 a pair. They are hung in trees and wired to an FM Receiver in my shop. I broadcast with a Ramsey 35B to the cars.

Chris Blount
I have a small set of computer speakers hooked to an FM radio. Just enough for people to hear the music when they walk by the house. Don't want to bother the neighbors. Most people use their FM radios when they drive by.
RobDaddy
I'm with Chris, I have a 2 set PC speaker with subwoofer and a Ramsey FM transmitter. That way I don't bother the neighbors but it is loud enough to here it when you walk by.

webslinger
Do have a suggested source to purchase a 35B? I'm about to get a Ramsey and would like to get that one since where it's going to live is buried in the middle of a very dense building.???-Doug

Came pre-assembled and works great. You can also get transmitters from this dealer. Their prices seem pretty reasonable but I've never ordered from them. http://www.hobbytron.com/DigitalFMTransmitter.html
