CTB16PC LED Light blink or not

Recommended Posts

We got some rain, snow and wind last night and today. When I got up this morning at 5:30am to check the lights out and make sure everything was still there and working I was happy to see that the lights all turned on as scheduled so I went back to bed. When I got up at 6:30 I looked outside and none of the lights were on so I go outside and see that the GFCI is tripped so I find the plug that is tripping the GFCI and fix it. Now none of my lights are turning on. Anybody have any ideas why. The LED light inside both of the controllers is blinking. should it be blinking or on full?

if it's blinking...it's waiting to be told what to do.

Solid means it's recieving communication from computer or director.

Sounds like you need to check your computer or director.

Alot of people have had issue with comm cables this year including me.

My show is still playing because I can still hear it on the radio. I went out and got some new cat5 cable and will try that.

just b/c you can hear it on the radio doesn't mean there is not some thing else going on. I would guess that the audio comes from your computer to the transmitter so that's good. must be somewhere between the computer and the controller.

how fast is the LED (status) blinking? (slow blink or solid are good signs) I would hookup the controllers to the HU just to trouble shot your problem. if that works then start checking cables, adapters, computer.

Well I hooked up the new cat5 cable and it worked. Then when I started to pull on the old cable (4 weeks old) it felt like it was pulling real easy and wouldn't you know it it was cut so now I think I am going armed with intent against the rabbits.
