Newbie Question - What software do I need to run LEDs and CCRs?

I have controllers and CCR. What software do I need to get the most out of these units?

You don't "need" superstar. Might be nice to have, I don't know, I program CCRs manually.

U certainly don't need superstar. Unless u want to take the easy route and use auto sequencer. Or if you have a bunch of CCRs used as a scrolling sign or CCR tree. I have (4) CCRs as arches and program them without SS. As Ainsworth said it would give you the most software...

Not saying it is a necessity (that depends on your setup and desired effects). You simply asked what would provide "the most".

I would definitely go with the Advanced level of S3. You did not state how many controllers and CCRs you have, but without the advanced level, you will rapidly run out of controller IDs to work with.

As far as Superstar, if you are going to do much fancy with the CCRs (particularly if it's a bunch of them), I would highly recommend Superstar. Yes, you can do anything manually, but there are things that Superstar can do for you in seconds that would be more difficult or time consuming to program without it.
