when I had a problem I got ahold of some the old timers that really know what they are doing and they walked me through it, you could always call on mike to help you i think thats his job not sure.

What are you trying to do that isnt working? There are tons of props avaiable on here from members who built them as they save tons of hours of time.

DevMike, this is one area where I think improvement is needed. The tutorial is all text...there are no screenshots or videos. On top of that, the tutorial doesn't touch on any of the wizards...or one of the main items of the Visualizer....props. How to use props that others have made? Import/Export routine? I believe I know how, but it should be much more organized. Props should have a library that everyone can browse through (including a screenshot of the prop itself). Just making suggestions here. Thx!

I went through it and understood it for the most part, but not totally comfortable with it.

All of those topics are covered within the help file. Each dialog is documented, along with screen shots and explanations.

The tutorial is more correctly called a 'Quick Start' guide. It get's you from not knowing how to start to having something very basic that works. From there you should read the 'Advanced Topics' for more in-depth (but still high level) information on some of the more complex tasks. For example, there is an entire section on wizards -> http://www.lightorama.com/help/wizards.htm

If you are still confused, you can then look at the detailed information contained in the 'Dialog Windows' section. Each document there fully explains each window you come across and what everything in there means. For example, here is the Arch wizard -> http://www.lightorama.com/help/arch_fan_wizard2.htm

The 'Concepts and Terminology' section explains how channels are parts of fixtures, and how fixtures can be parts of props. ->

http://www.lightorama.com/help/concepts_and_terminology.htm

Import and Export is covered here -> http://www.lightorama.com/help/importing_and_exporting_fixtur.htm

As for organization, if you start with the Visualizer main page in the Help File (http://www.lightorama.com/help/visualizer.htm), and follow the topics in order as shown, you progress from a quick introduction, through the terminology, all the way into the complex parts of the program: http://www.lightorama.com/help/visualizer.htm

The Library of Props and Fixtures is right here on the forums in the sticky at the top (). If the user included a screen shot, it's attached.

Guess my original post didn't make it :( Here's try #2....

Anyone else have this problem? I have 9 CCRs along my rooflines. Two of them are programmed in the Sequence Editor to start at the end of the strip vs at the controller because the way the house's gutters are setup (plus you can house 2 CCR controllers and power supplies in one housing). However, when I run the visualizer, the fact that they do not start at the controller, instead the end of the CCR doesn't 'transfer over' into the visualizer which I didn't notice until all the CCRs were doing the same chase effect.

Is this a bug ? Or do I need to somehow tell the Visualizer that those particular 2 CCRs are 'reversed' also like I did in SE ?
