I mount mine right on the displays so the cords are shorter.

That's a really neat set up. What size PVC is that?

I used 4 inch PVC for the ends and 2 inch PVC for the middle.I will dig some more pics and video out in the morning.

What's the best way to mount your controllers for both safety and security?

I think this is a highly personal question and I'm surprised you'd ask such a thing.

But since you did, I believe most people mount them from the side.  Just make sure you always know where the dongles are.  For maximum security, I recommend tying the power cords around your waist.  A square knot will keep them in place until you're ready to dismount.

Hope it helps.  Please DON'T post pics.

:)
I was sort of the same thing when I read the question.

3 of mine are screwed right into the house, and the 2 CCR controllers are mounted to PVC poles with encouraging signs posted to them

I also have security cameras keeping an eye on things.

What I've found is the biggest problem you'll have are kids. Most people don't know the value of the controllers & lights. Anyone in it to resell will go after your extension cords for the copper wire.

How about a pic of the inside I am thinking about a multiple controller box.

Sure Paul, here you go.
The 4 switches on the top are power for each card so that I can run just one card if I want or if I need to work on something.
There are 2 30 amp power receptacles on the bottom for power cords to plug in and 4 slots for the display cords to enter.
Also have 2 weatherproof Cat 5 plug ins on the side of the unit.

Beeill,

Thats some pretty nice work on that cabinet, where did you find the weatherproof cat5 connectors? Been looking but haven't seen anything like that yet.

Thanks,

PMK

Thank You

The connectors and covers came from Mouser.
The connectors are NE8FDP:

and the covers are 568-SCDX:

You can also get the NE8FDP connector cheaper at Parts Express:

Another option is an RJ45 connector with an attached piece of cat cable on it that will work just about as well:

Hope that helps out.
