What is a fire stick? I am still new at this. I am planning next years show now. I have a static display this year.
take on arch and rub it down vigorously with Viagra! Presto change-o

Instead of bending the pole for an arch you erect it straight up sort of like a power meter! Can look really cool, when I messed up doing my arches this season I just made firesticks out of them and they look great.

They are basically an arch with no arch, just a stick in the ground with however many segments you want to put on them.

This is my first year too so I had to learn what they are. I will try to find some pictures of them.

Do you have any videos of your display?
Me or Titan?

just above my mini-tree's you will see what is referred to as fire sticks, mine are 8 channels each but you could get away using 4. you have enough lights and using the sleeve method could have it done in no time.

I like those firesticks! Definitely something I need to add for next year, oh along with more channels! :)

meant to be arches but used 3/4" PVC instead of 1-1 1/2" so guess what, when you try to bend the arch they don't give at all not even when using 1/2" PVC. Had two 8 foot sections of the metal SCH40 1/2" so "tada"!! plugged in the arch sequencing and it seem to work fine so left well enough alone.

I have 4 channels left and 800 5mm led lights. Will a 4 channel arch look OK? If not any other idea's?

In my opinion, 4 channel arches will look OK - but only OK. A local show near my house has some 4 channel arches and it's OK. A few more would be better.

Personally from what I've watched, I would consider 6 to be a minimum. My current thought if I do a Christmas show next year (I will be using LOR for my lightscaping, but considering doing a show next year) will be 25 segment (CCR or CCB if they ever actually come out).

My arches are a mixture, 12 have only one channel and 4 arches have 5 channels. My firesticks which are about 2 stories tall have seven channels (I have 5 of them).

Don't judge my by the quality of the video, it was taken by wy wife with her cell phone.
