-klb- Posted December 1, 2011 Share Posted December 1, 2011 Gen 2 is all pin in hole constuction. Gen 3 is SMD for everything but power components. Gen 3 has built in phantom load, while gen 2 does not. Gen 3 has selectable dimming curves today. Gen 2 is supposed to get a firmware update eventually to get selectable dimming curves.I would take either, depending if you want to solder, or use your time elsewhere.
