imposterbond Posted November 27, 2011 Share Posted November 27, 2011 I have just received a new ctb16pcg3 card and want to assign a new id to it.In hardware utility it does not recognized the card - it says found 1 unit unknown device. I cant seem to find where to download an up to date hardware utility for v2.9.4 so it will recognize this card type(I am assuming this is the problem as I have a solid led).Can some kind person point me in the right direction.TYMark Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Alan C Posted November 27, 2011 Share Posted November 27, 2011 Version 2.9.4 will never recognise the board as anything other than "unknown", due to the board type being newer than the software. I believe that the new Version 3.x software will recognise it correctly. However, this should not be a problem, and you should still be able to set the new address.Regards,Alan. There is a lookup table in the software that converts the code sent by the board into the "type number" that the hardware utility puts on the screen. The 2.x software versions will not recognise the code returned by a generation 3 board. Apart from this, everything else should work correctly.Regards,Alan.
