S3 upgrade question

Recommended Posts

I have the Advanced version of the S2 software and want to update to the new S3 version. I checked my licence and it say max 2.9. Can I just upgrade to the S3 or do I have to buy a new version? I thought I read a post the other day about upgrading but I can't seem to find it now.

Thanks,
Jason

Thanks Don. Is the superstar editor and the superstar editor and the superstar sequencer the same thing just two different terms?

Yes. Same thing, different terms.

Quick note: If you are planning to get a CCR license, then the *only* thing you need to purchase is the CCR license. When purchasing the CCR license, your regular license will be renewed as well.

Supserstar software requires an extra licence. However, if you purchase only the Superstar licence, then you do not need to purchase a "renewal" as well. This will happen automatically with the purchase of Superstar. The software you download will be exactly the same, but the licence code unlocks the features purchased.

The latest software (released about 50 minutes ago) is 3.1.2 and is available on the software download page. Make sure you sort your licence before you install the new software!

Alan.

Well....... while I was waiting for a reply I went ahead and purchased the regular upgrade with your link above Don. Doh! I was looking at the CCR primarily for the Auto Sequence editor as I had a hard drive failure last month and lost some of my data.

Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Send an email to LOR or ring them up and explain what has happened. From other threads here, you are not the first to pay more than you need to have done, and I suspect you will not be the last.

Alan.
