How do you video tape and post videos of your display?

I'd like to throw in a question as well. I've taken some video/audio of my display with my camera and posted to youtube only to be told I'm violating copyright and had it taken down. Not once but twice. My argument that the audio which was heard in the background of the video was being broadcasted over a local radio station and being received on my car radio and being picked up from the speakers didn't hold any water. How is it that everyone else can post their video/audio???

There is a device called dazzle and you can find it on best buy:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp;jsessionid=7360BD88A98C3CD351A8F61A4D010895.bbolsp-app01-29?_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&_dynSessConf=-4425412678305546120&id=pcat17071&type=page&st=dazzle&sc=Global&cp=1&nrp=15&sp=&qp=&list=n&iht=y&usc=All+Categories&ks=960

So your camera have 2 or 3 rca output (1 yellow, 1 black or white and 1 red) also a S-video output. once you have dazzle device drivers and software installed in your computer you are able to capture the video from the camera to computer via dazzle using a usb port. dazzle software allow you to capture any external source of video to pc and also you are able to edit, then you can post your video in youtube or somewhere else.

  • 3 weeks later...

I just recorded my first video with my Flip HD, I found it hard to get the entire show in the screen, I had to get far back and then try to zoom in pan etc. It's almost like it needs a wide angle lens.

Now to the part of importing the video, how are you guys with Flip cams importing in to Windows Movie Maker? It won't import an MP4 for me, says invalid file? Are you using Windows Live Movie Maker? I have that also and in Live Movie Maker I don't see how you can mute the background audio, add new etc?

Thanks!

Just sit back and let everyone else do it......after only 3 days running the first video appeared on youtube. Funny how those camera phones take remarkably good video.
