Yes,

Draw an 8 channel Arch
Take, and straighten the arch out by the top middle dot and drag down
now take the rotate arrow to the right, and flip it
Now you should have an 8 channel pole

Sorry, ment the corner dot...the one by the arrow
Just drag that one down

I tried to use this idea to make a 5 channel pole, and while it looks good, the channels don't lineup. Channels 1 & 5 are both at the bottom and 3 is now at the top...

If I haven't mentioned it before, I added a 'pole' wizard to the wishlist.

It would also be nice to be able to just draw "segmented" strings of lights...

IE: I have 7 strands of icicle lights on my eaves (4 colors each/28 channels) so instead of drawing seven separate strings, why not one divided into seven segments as I control each string individually?

EDIT:

I have asked before (long time ago) but any chance of making the Wishlist public?

Sorry Jim. The system needs some way of keeping things straight and that means fixtures: a collection of channels of a like display element.

Your 7 segments of icicles @ 4 colors each are 7 fixtures.

After you create them, you can assign all of them to a single prop which will make them a bit easier to manage.

hmmmm...I'll be the first to admit I know NOTHING about programming...

guess I don't understand if you can have an arch with 7 segments, why not a string?

Why can't 7 sets of icicle lights be considered a "like display element".

I am SOOOO confused!!! :D

A 7 segment arch is a display item that consists of 7 fixtures. All 7 are then combined into a prop (just like I'm suggesting you do with your Icicles).
