RaceMedic
I hope this image does not come up too big.Keeping with the holdman star base idea ...I have some gift cards ( donation ) from a local hardward store.I was thinking of going with a 1" or 1.5" diameter black drain pipe. The stars are 3' tall so I was going to make the poles up to them 4'. I was also thinking of having the pieces that go down both sides of the room 4' each way. It is a low pitched roof. From the diagram ... do you think this will work.Thank-you for all your input !!DaveI should have added ... the square pieces are where the pipe will go up to the stars. The starts are hollow and the pipe is round so I wouldn't think the wind load would be that significant.Anyone else comment on this ?!Thanks everyone !Dave
Dave Batzdorf
I think if the starts are hanging down and also to swing a bit on the cable that would be fine. As for the pole at the end of the house - why not rent some space from the neighbor.:]
RaceMedic
Thanks for your input Dave .... I think I have gone away from the cable idea and more towards the frame on the roof.Dave
Dave Batzdorf
That's whats nice about the forum. If you can put it into words, somebody will have a concept to try; or at a minimum have some fun poking it.
