For my floods I got some traffic light LED clustered lights. About 400 or so really bright LEDS in red and green. 10 inches across with standard light bulb base. So bright you cannot look at them. Got them off ebay for 10 bucks apiece. Apparently those lights get changed after so many hours and they have nothing wrong with them.

Can you elaborate on the Floods? I searched Ebay and did not find any on a standard base. Did you wire them to a base? Have any pics? Thanks

Here is what I was able to locate on E-Bay for LED Traffic Lights.  Take your pick or mix and match!

Green Traffic Light (e-bay/pig tails)

Yep, found hundreds of them myself with the pigtails. He stated, and I quote ("For my floods I got some traffic light LED clustered lights. About 400 or so really bright LEDS in red and green. 10 inches across with standard light bulb base.").

Did not say if he attached the base or they came attached already. That's what I was getting at. Seems to me that after you buy the bulbs, bases and buy or fashion a housing for them, you can buy a Dimmable LED Flood from any of the Vendors we use... But, to each his own. Interesting idea though, using the traffic lights.

OK... I do not understand why there is confusion... my traffic lights came WITH a screw base, look at the pic above.

If they are not your thing... that's fine... but one of those will illuminate the entire front of my large home.

Well apparently some don't...............
yes, but that is life. When you buy off of eBay it is usually "as is". If he can't understand that then large fonts won't change it.

For all you Nay Sayers, I also ordered one of the red traffic lights that has the pig tail wire. I took the red lens off, removed the magnifier plastic grid lens (it has fewer LED's than my original lights, put it back together and it works fine. As I make my own light stands out of PVC, making one for this will be as easy...
