You need to explain what you have done so far and what you need help with. It would help to be specific.

We need details. :]

First of all, it's got a name. Second of all, it's got instructions.

I don't mean to sound rude but you've made 2 different posts (with the same problem) and with what little you have explained, I don't think anybody will be of any help until you can better explain what you have already done and what you are trying to do next.

My first suggestion (as Don as mentioned in the other post you created) is

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE!!!

Then, you will be able to better understand LOR and what to do. And only then will we be able to help you out.

(Don, first, is the red LED light constantly on or blinking on your disposal?)

Hope that helped,

Tom

What could be wrong? Well from the information you've given us:

1) you could have not programmed a sequence at all. You need to program a sequence for LOR to do anything.

2) You could have improper com-port settings.

3) You might not have things plugged in.

4) You might be using a bad cable between the computer and the LOR box

5) You might not have a schedule programmed.

6) You might not have the computer turned on.

7) You don't have electricity in the outlet your LOR box is plugged in to.

8) etc.

YOU NEED TO GIVE US MORE INFORMATION! "I followed the steps and it seems to work but it still doesn't work" is not going to give us enough info to help you (nor does it even make sense).

Tell us "step by step", as if you were explaining to a small child, what you've tried, and EXACTLY what is not working. Don't worry about giving us too much information. I promise you, nobody will yell at you for giving us more info than we need.

Seeing the flashing lights would not have anything to do with the channels. It is an indicator that the controller itself has power and is ready to operate. After you plug the controller in, it will have the flashing lights. After you find the unit with your PC, it will burn solid.

txstraitfan,

That is an old family joke. Don't take it the wrong way. That is why I had all the smilely faces. I will edit it away.

Do yourself and us a favor and explain your problems. We like to help. :]

I am sorry if I offended you. Sometimes my funnies don't come across right.

Keep posting and keep smiling.

Dale W

i understand that already but what i dont understand is that i went to the steps and i think i messed some steps some where. This is the list of steps i got form someone off of here maybe its u. it just the short one.

1.We need to set up the Configuration in the sequence editor so that we know which unit and what channel are assigned to each horizontal line of the sequence.

2. Each Sequence whether animation or musical is set up in a grid pattern, horizontally is in reference to time vertically is set to each assigend channel.

3. After sequence is complete it needs to added to a show using the show editor

all of above is where i dont understand i guess.

u have several options then thay list them.

Q. do u have to use all of them or just one?

4.after the sequence and show editor are complete we have to do the schedule editor it will set up whats shows are to be shown at what time and on what days.

5. then we have load the LOR control panel then by right clicking the mouse on the light bulb on the lower right hand of your task bar u must select enable shows.

Which model LOR controller do you have?
Was it already built... or was it a kit?

Are you using the serial adaptor or USB?

Do you have the Demo (free!) software, or did you purchase it?

What kind of cable are you using to connect from the converter to the controller? (Cat5 or phone cord) ?
How long is it?
