How to add audio to a sequence

I am trying to add audio to a sequence that i have, but it doesn't seem to allow me.

I thought it was under edit Media file, but thats grayed out

any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is my first attempt and looks like i have gone the wrong way about it

What software? Is it set up as a musical or animation sequence?

Doing a quick test before I left the house this morning, I verified that you can't add the audio to an animation file, nor can you simply save it as a musical file and go on about your day.

You'll need to create a new musical sequence (with the audio you want). Then you will need to copy/paste the timings and events over to the new sequence.

The audio can only be added to a musical sequence. When asked to create a new sequence, it gives you the option of new animation or musical sequence. Choose musical and you should be able to add your audio.
