Yea, I was pleasantly surprised. UPS shows a 7-8 delivery, so not bad for sale time, a one week turnaround from order to delivery.

And my list of stuff to do to get things ready continues to grow...all kinds of newbie "oh yea, need to think about that.." items...I now understand how anyone with even a relatively small display cautions to not wait until october to really get rolling...

I ordered 3 more PC controllers and upgraded my software from Basic to Standard.

and of course I entered the Try for Free.

You should have went right to the advance level in the software................you are likely to buy more controllers.

Your hooked, you are having fun, and you are making folks happy with your show and that is good.:D

If you lived up here and you ask them to ship USPS you will have time to finish your projects.

I believe I got mine in mid August last year.

Interesting.. I just ordered the QC DC board and S2 upgrade from Basic+ to Standard (to run the 8 boards) and got an email saying LOR didnt have my email addy on file to do anything with licenses, yet, I clicked on Retrieve License and I got back just what I expected, my address and current (B+) info, so I'm not sure whats going on with their file system.. did anyone else get "nothing found"?

I ordered (2) CTB16K kits and (1) ServoDog. I'm going to be thinking a lot about how I can use the ServoDog. I will have 7 boxes (112 Channel) this year and I want to really try incorporating video. May try using the ServoDog to controller the projector's remote. Has any one attempted a projected video with their show? Any Suggestions?

Brian frm LOR wrote me, said they've been having server problems but found my addy and creesdited the Upgrade.. So I guess no one else ran into software purchase problems..

Scott, you'll prob have to figure out if your remote is digital or analog, or just run a triggering line to the remote port(if it has one) from the ServoDog..

upgraded from Whole House Gold to the 4000 last year. VERY VERY Happy. (was not very happy previously), Used it last Halloween, Christmas and this 4th. Clear reception and a reasonable distance without overdoing it (an I am transmitting through a brick building, using the small antenna included).

I didn't get anything. Is that an option? :) I plan on ordering at the end of this week or next week when I get some more funds in my bank account. I am taking donations, by the way. Just PM me.

If the movie 2012 teaches anything, it's "live on credit!" LOL

As TJ pointed out the 4000 is in stereo and worked great for me. Clear sound and good coverage, Depending on which direction it covered from 2 to 6 blocks away. Only suggestion is keep the transmitter away from the computer (a foot or so), I did get some RFI when the transmitter was right next to the computer. Couldn't be happier. Easy to setup and use and has memory to save your transmit freq.

Hi

I used the MBB 6000 last year. Had some problems due to the cold weather and the fact I had it outside in an insulated box. The transmitter quit about 4 days before the end of the show so I brought it on the house a dried it out with a hair dryer and it worked fine. As far as stereo goes no one even noticed as a matter of fact it means that you can hear all the music no matter which side of the yard you are viewing the lights from. This year the transmitter will be located in the house. You may have trouble locating an extension cable for the antenna due to the size of the cable end.

Mike: From what I'm hearing though I might not want to go crazy with the antennae on these as they are powerful enough for most normal apps just using the short one and keeping everything in the house. My Whole House, I ran the wire outside and still it barely made it two or three houses up the street in either direction the two years I've had it. With the media exposure I had last year and increased traffic expected as my show grows I need to double that so everyone doesn't have to crowd in a 4 lot zone. The view is actually better a couple houses away when you aren't right on top of everything. So I'd like the reception to range farther.

Lenny

I just sold my soul to the Credit Card company for 4 more PC-CTB16PC-COMPLETE. That will bring me to 96 Channels. However, since lighting is one of my true loves, I AM going to be a winner in the TryForFree, because there is no nobler cause...Oh except that MLT I put on my CC as well. If I end up losing my soul, my display my quickly become an advertisement!

I live in a cul-de-sac. Never get much traffic and my yard is wedge shaped, making it very hard. This year I have been making preparations to move the display to the back yard - which is a hill overlooking a good part of the town. Plenty of parking and visibility down below. With 3 times the channels, this years show will be very fun.

The MBB 6000 worked fine I got about600 feet either side of the house but the antenna was located rather low to the ground. The 25 foot extension cable will ensure I can get it higher and allow me to mount it on a ground plane to get more range from the 1/4 watt transmitter

I'm starting with 32 channels this year to learn and practice. I already have plans for next year to add another 32 or more and a FM transmitter.

I was about to put in my order, when I got an email from LOR containing information on the new Whole House Transmitter 2.0. Anyone have any thoughts on this new offering? I was going to go ahead and purchase the MBB 4000, but am now wondering if I should just get the WHT 2.0 with my 2 new controllers. I'd appreciate any ideas anyone has.
