  1. I can confirm that the bug has been corrected in version 5.3.12
  2. Did you try erasing the generated playback files (found in you working directory under \Light-O-Rama\LORInternal\Playback\L) to force the show player to rebuild them? Also, don't use the 'Use the audio waveform' option in the motion effect generator... I don't think it is working properly in S5 version 5.3.10.
  3. This must be a bug in 5.3.10. Deleting and regenerating the play files did not help. I downgraded to 5.2.4. Unfortunately a few of my props use custom locations in my Preview... and this is not compatible with 5.2.4. My sequences created in 5.3.10 will not load in 5.2.4. I did make a new test sequence in 5.2.4 and can confirm that there is no problem with audio wave control in the motion effects while in version 5.2.4. So I reinstalled 5.3.10 an plan on removing all of the audio wave controls.... which is quite unfortunate. Interestingly, the sequence that I created in 5.2.4 still plays the motion effect properly from 5.3.10. I suspect the problem occurs when 5.3.10 creates the playback files... some of the motion effect information is not passed to the playback files.
  4. I am having the exact same problem with the audio wave control of motion effects in version 5.3.10. Perhaps it's a bug? I'll try rolling back to version 5.2.4 and let you know.

  6. Example of problem: Motion Effect Generator, 'Wave' effect, amplitude slider is set to 'Use the audio waveform'. When I play this from the sequencer, the effect changes with the loudness of the music as expected both in the preview window and on the actual light display outside. When I play this sequence directly from the Show/Schedule, there is no variation on the effect based on the audio. This problem occurs also on the 'Bars' effect speed setting, and the 'Wave' effect frequency setting (I assume every setting that has the 'Use the audio waveform' option). Background: I create my sequences on my desktop computer, and then transfer them to my dedicated show computer. I did discover that the 'SS_TIME-STAMP_****.avi' files need to be transfers for the SuperStar effects to work. Are there other files that need to be transferred for the Motion Effect Generator? But then why would the motion effects work when played directly from the sequencer? I also tried deleting the \Light-O-Rama\LORInternal\Playback\L\ files to force the Show/Schedule to generate a new play file, but this did not work. Any suggestions?
  7. Thanks Jim... I'll look a bit more at aliexpress. I guess I'm looking for something that is enclosed with the power cord already attached. I don't like playing too much with the 120V side.
  8. Thanks for the quick response JR! Yes, 5V pixels. Currently I have two 5V 8A power supplies (from amazon) to power 3 strings. I'm looking at adding more strings... in retrospect, perhaps I should have gone with 12V pixels. Most of the 5V options on amazon (Canada) seem very open/exposed on the 120V side... makes me nervous. The ebay options seem to all be from China... is that safe? Steve
  9. Can anyone recommend a good 5V Power Supply to use for a Pixie 8 Controller? I think it needs to supply 25-30 Amps if I'm connecting eight 15W strings (or perhaps I could use two 15 Amp power supplies). LOR only sells a 12V Power Supply.
  10. Thanks Mr. P !!! I had updated to the latest version 4.3.14 on the light-o-rama website download page but couldn't get my pixie to work. I couldn't figure out why the pixie manual said I needed 4.3.15 or later to do the hardware configuration. The open beta 4.3.16 works perfectly. Steve
  11. Oops. Found my problem. I just didn't have the 'control visualizer' selected under the 'play' menu item in the sequence editor. Works fine now with communication settings set to local host.
  12. I had only 2 CCR's my first year. I had them organized as 2 parallel waves above the garage. Here is an example video link: https://youtu.be/C-yOzCulmCQ I mounted them on flexible plumbing tubes that were attached to 2 large metal frame shelves.
  13. Has anyone been able to sucessfully configure the visualizer while running windows 8 on a mac via parallels? I've tried communicating by local host and network address without success. I'm using S4 on my mac to build some new sequences and a working visualizer would be ideal. I previously had no problems with the visualizer on a windows only computer.
  14. I had the same problem installing S4 onto windows 7. Every time I tried to run the program it would attempt to reinstall S4 and the required temp msi install file was no longer present. It turns out my antivirus software (bitdefender) had quarantined the file "\Light-O-Rama\ServoDogUtility.exe". Once I restored this file and put it on the exclusions list in bitdefender, the S4 software worked correctly. This may explain why you had one file still in use (ie quarantined) that you could not delete.
  15. Brian, I unfortunately manually created a visualization for all 150 DMX pixels before reading your post. I decided to try out your dmx keyword anyways... Basically it works, but I noted two minor issues. I have 3 GE color effect strings run by a SanDevice E682 controller, 2 Cosmic Colour Pixel controllers, and 6 Cosmic Colour Ribbons. I mapped out the GE color effect strings as CCRs using the CCR draw wizard. I have each string on it's own universe and used the dmx keyword accordingly. Two of my GE color effect strings need to be numbered from right to left. When I loaded the visualization into SuperStar, the visualizer was correct but the SuperStar 'green boxes' were numbered left to right for those strings. I tried the 'reverse' keyword but that did not correct the problem. You can see in the screen shot how the example morph goes from left to right in the green boxes but right to left in the visualization. When I ran this sequence on the actual lights, the output was as you see in the visualizer. The second thing I noted was during the export to the sequence editor. My DMX props are at the top in SuperStar but were moved to the end of the channel list in the sequence editor. Not a big deal, but unexpected. I have also attached my visualization file... perhaps there is something that I missed. Steve 3GEs+StarBurst+6CCRs-v2.lee
