  1. Just wanted to share an issue we had and how it was fixed. We do multiple house with multiple networks. 3 streets are involved. When we initially set up, 2 of the streets, their lights were stuck on or randomly flashed when I ran a test program, when instead they were to turn on one at a time. Initially, in order to save time/poles, my husband placed both the transmitting and receiving ELL's on the same pole. Bad idea. Magically, once we separated the transmitting and receiving ELL's, the show came on and worked perfectly. Just wanted to share so hopefully no one else experiences the same issue. Thanks!
  2. Can I get a copy please...debtoews@comcast.net thank you!
  3. Plugged in a set of head phones to the audio jack.
  4. Also, hubby ran a LAS file and it works...LMS no. Hope this helps
  5. Hi everyone! I had a new computer built and loaded the software plus a couple of sequences that run on my old machine. When I hit the play button, the bar that scrolls across the grid starts for a millisecond and stops. Its like the program gets hung up. If I hit the stop button it does nothing. I have to completely X out of the program. Any ideas of what the issue is? I made sure it is registered as well. I need to get this fixed ASAP so any help is appreciated!
  6. I use 1 computer to sequence and the other one is the show only in an effort to keep it "clean" plus it was built especially for the light show. I use drop box to store and transfer files. This year we are doing only 1 show but next year we plan the main show plus a couple of specialty nights ( police/military appreciation night, etc)
  7. you all are welcome- hope it helps you out!
  8. There is always SOMEONE that will complain no matter what you do. In running 34 houses, we get our fair share of complaints. Most go in the circular file but some are legit and we make efforts to address them. I grew up being told if you dont have something nice to say keep your mouth shut- too bad todays society doenst seem to understand that concept.
  9. These are 2600 channel lms.files Includes eve lights, mini-trees, mega tree, light poles, Bethlehem star, exploding star, spiral tree and 8-channel arches. PM me if any questions- Thanks and Enjoy! https://www.dropbox.com/sh/unpfvarzz0kfkaj/AADK_duGb_zdv--Kp3cIzXGOa?dl=0
  10. boys boys boys...the sequencing isnt that hard for multiple houses....we currently have 2.5 streets...no one can see all the houses at one time other than our drone video...so I sequence one street and then copy and paste to the other streets....in the big scheme of things, most people are just in awe of all the houses dancing the music...they are not lighting snobs (as I refer to myself) and so keeping the sequencing simple is actually better in my opinion. If the lights are too crazy, it doesnt look good on multiple houses. Having them do the same thing or every other one or one side of the street vs the other side looks really cool. We also use 4 colors so there is something to play thing there as well. You can view past videos of when we were only 16 houses and later this year at: www.SantaClausLaneClovis.com
  11. our show is only 35 minutes this year- usually 1 hour but we have on street closure because of one pain in the butt neighbor....show runs continuously from 6-10pm...we had 40,000 people last year over 35 days- we cant take breaks the peeps would be pissed!
  12. we use 3 tomato cages from Lowes that cost around $2 a piece, zip tie them together at the top, make a super string out of the lights (because we use 4 colors- RWBG) and then zip tie the super string to the tree form. We have 216 mini-trees on our 34 home display. We can make them in our sleep!
  13. I currently run 34 houses...each house has its own channels assigned and controllers. We use ELL's to transmit and receive the data signal to each each. We use a visualizer and each house is represented. Each house runs at least: $ colors on upper and lower house eves and 6 4-color mini trees in the front yard. This makes sequencing easier. I dunno how far you are wanting to go with this, but if you plan to expand to more houses, make sure you have a game plan. It makes things easier when you have a standard for each house. Feel free to reach out to me if you need any more help. Good luck!
  14. Be careful what you wish for! lol This is an incredible amount of work that goes on almost every single day of the year. Also, you will get to know your neighbors in ways that are good and bad. The bad sometimes get really ugly so just a heads up. Never ceases to amaze me how neighbors can allow you to do all the work and carry the financial burden and then have no problems just sitting back, watching yet bragging to their friends about their project. Make sure you consider this and more before including others. Even tho they know nothing, they can try and gain control over the project. If you're OK with that great, then it wont be an issue for you. Good luck!
  15. We use ELL's and have several networks. Trying to connect everything via Cat5 cables would be insane!
  16. Have you all heard the Veteran version of this? Its incredible and a free download for the song :-) https://www.sailorjerrimusic.com/hallelujah
  17. Anyone got a good one done and willing to share? Thanks
  18. can i get it also please? debtoews@comcast.net thanks!
  19. 50- because we have 5 different networks and need some to "jump" the data to the other streets. We are 3 streets together for the event.
  20. That is a picture of only half of what we use. We are close to 100 controllers!
