  1. Uncompressed avi file?

AVSVideoEditor worked. I have been trying to use a converter program and never thought to use an editor. Thanks for your help and happy sequencing!
  2. Uncompressed avi file?

I have a MP4 file I would like to use in the "movie" function in PE, but I need to use an uncompressed avi file per PE. Does anyone know of a converter that will not compress? The only ones I have found will compress it in some way that PE doesn't like.
  3. DMX Matrix Screen

I am trying to do 2 matrix screens with 32 pixels high by 53 pixels wide each. I am using HolidayCoro's Alphapix 16 as a controller. Output 1-8 will control the left matrix, and 9-16 will control the right. Both screens will be identical as to what is displayed on them. Each output controls 212 pixels. My question is with the setup. I will have to use Unicast because I am running another Alphapix for a Megatree. I understand that I will need to setup at least 20 universes for the number of channels I will need. Is there a way to setup the software (either xLights or LOR) to let it know that there are 212 pixels per output and that the pixels go up then down etc. (I would like to put the pixels vertical because I can take the panels apart after the season for storage) and then output 2 starts at pixel 213-425, output 3 426-638 etc. Or do I have to just bite the bullet and go horizontally and have the outputs every 4 rows?
  4. Power injection help needed.

In my original post, I said I must be missing something simple. I was. It was a polarity issue. I am so used to using 120v and regular strings where the polarity doesn't really matter. I went through and fixed everything, so now they all light the way they should. Now to tackle my setup issues with doing a matrix. I am going to start a new topic. Thanks to everyone for all your help.
  5. Power injection help needed.

Here is my setup: Power supply 1 runs the controller and the first 26 nodes on all 16 outputs. Power supply 2 runs nodes 27 - 212 (186 nodes) on 3 strings. The reason I did that is if 50 nodes draw 27 watts (per HolidayCoro), I should be able to run 550 nodes under 300 watts and that gives me an extra 50 watts for power loss. Each power supply is running 3 strings from node 27 - 212, so a total of 558 nodes. This is repeated for power supplies 3-7 also. Since it should be fairly easy to do, I am going to cut the number of nodes from each power supply in half by injecting power at the end of the string and see if that helps. If it works, I'll just have to buy more power supplies. With that being said, I know I want the power supplies as close to the nodes as possible, but what would be the max distance I could go from the power supply to the nodes if each 350 watt supply was running 279 nodes using SPT-2 wire?
  6. Power injection help needed.

Bear with me as I try to explain what I am doing. I am doing 2 DMX grids of 1696 12v nodes each for a total of 3392 from HolidayCoro. I am using their AlphaPix 16 controller for the grids because it can handle 5440 nodes (more than I need) with power injection. Here is how I have it set up: Each output controls 212 nodes. I am injecting power after the 26th node. Between node 26 and 27, I cut the power wire, capped the end that comes from the controller, attached the power from a separate 350w power supply, left the data wire alone, and spliced in the negative from the separate power supply. I do this 3 times with each 350w power supply. I also connected the negatives from each power supply together per HolidayCoro's diagram. The nodes that are connected from the controller and before the power injection are working fine, but after the power injection, they aren't lit. I know I am missing something here that must be fairly simple, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you guys can give me.
  7. Convert existing CCR sequence to DMX?

You have 10 AC controllers and 2 CCRs on Reg network. Then 12 CCRs on Aux A. There are errors in this file to correct. Delete the 35 bottom channels which are duplicates of the 12th CCR and the macro channels. When that is done you have a clean .lcc with no CCR macro channels. Then you can add your DMX channels to the bottom of track one. Make sure they are in the same order (I presume controllers at bottom lowest on left) For each sequence programed in SE you will copy the 12 CCR groups in one big block and paste into the 12 DMX groups. Your very top channel is a sequence channel. All of those will have to contain the new DMX networks and channels. You have 10 AC controllers and 2 CCRs on Reg network. Then 12 CCRs on Aux A. 8. Convert existing CCR sequence to DMX?

  9. Convert existing CCR sequence to DMX?

Unfortunately, they are out of warranty. The replacement ribbon from LOR in their store is 169.95 each.
  10. Convert existing CCR sequence to DMX?

I have all of my sequences done with a 12 CCR tree, and I tested the CCR's today after the tree went up (yes, I did test them before it went up also), and I have 3 ribbons that aren't working properly. I have had the same issues with ribbons in the past, and it has turned out to be bad ribbons. So, instead of replacing 3 ribbons at 170.00 each, I was looking into converting over to Holiday Coro's Mega Tree setup. My question is: Is there an easy way to convert my completed CCR sequences to DMX? I am looking to place my order with either LOR or Holiday Coro no later than tomorrow. Any help is appreciated.
  11. Superstar Instant Sequence questions

I took another look at the Timing Map, and that is where my problem is. It only populated the first 3 ribbons. I didn't realize that it did that by default. I just clicked the set frequency spectrum and that fixed it. Thank you very much Mr. P and Mega Arch. I knew it had to be something simple.
  12. Superstar Instant Sequence questions

I am making a new file. I am only using Superstar right now to sequence my mega tree.
  13. Superstar Instant Sequence questions

Having a problem with Instant Sequencer. I have used it in the past with no problems, but just updated the software and now Instant Sequencer is only sequencing the first 3 ribbons. I have tried it on my show computer, and the same thing is happening. I re watched the tutorial video to see if I was missing something, but it is still only sequencing the first 3 ribbons. I have tried several audio files also.
  14. Could I get a copy too please? Thanks.
  15. Looking for Singing Christmas Tree Prop

If anyone has these, could you please email me it? The FTP link and the viz file aren't working. Thanks, Mike mcompanik@yahoo.com
