  1. Ok, I am with you now. I always pick "Use Preview". Not sure what the other options are supposed to do.
  2. I am not sure I understand your question. Arrangement in S5 editor? You can arrange anything anyway you want it to look. I have different views all arranged differently. For example I have one view that mimics my display from last year so I can copy and paste my sequences from last year into that view and switch to another view to add my elements for this year. One of the cool new thing is sorts. I have one view with props sorted by rows and another view with props sorted by columns. In your case, if I understand correctly, you could have a view that was identical to your SS layout.
  3. Mike, if you are in the area in the next month or so, you can drop them off any time.
  4. We created a Facebook group for the Tennesse mini. https://www.facebook.com/groups/810575302400648/
  5. This will be the place to help figure it out.
  6. Bad thing is, I am somewhat scared of heights, not sure I could climb it even if I bought one.
  7. I was hoping you meant 2 used controllers Love the idea, crazy price unless it came with the ladder. I guess if it was cheap we wouldn't want to risk it though.
  8. Got any additional information? Sounds interesting.
  9. JR, sounds good. I am pretty sure there will some time devoted to singing faces.
  10. I will get a list of hotels. I know there is a group coming from NC, you might be able to get together with them.
  11. Very nice Bob, Will be real helpful in converting last years display to this years layout.
  12. Tennessee Spring Mini All are invited, not just the folks from TN. WHEN: Saturday, March 24, 2018 WHERE: Cleveland, TN (Just north of Chattanooga off of I-75) 3787 Blue Springs Road in Cleveland, TN TIME: TBD (typically 9 am – 4 pm) We’ll take up $$ for lunch, usually pizza. We're not sure what we will talk about yet, so, if there's anything you'd like to talk about, post about it here and we'll put it on the list. Controllers, software, networking, etc. I am sure there will be something on S5 workflow and also Super Star. Other topics to follow.
  13. I totally screwed up one computer early on going back and forth, tried to fool it and it fooled me. I had to go into the registry and fix all the paths for LOR.
  14. I have had .16 installed since the day it came out on 3 computers and have not had that problem. What is the path you are using brichi?
  15. Yes. When you open a Superstar file in S5 it says it has to upgrade the file.
  16. I just realized when I export from Superstar in legacy format and open in S5 it has to do some converting. Is there a plan to change that. S5 formated files open a whole lot quicker.
  17. When you say the preview is dots not lines like in the visualizer? Not sure what you mean there. My preview looks every bit as good as my visualizer did. Especially when I added props directly and not upgraded from an S4 sequence.
  18. I used S4 for how ever many years it was out, once S5 came out I switched to it and cant imagine going back. Now that being said, I am all pixels. Out of curiosity though, I just added some arches and a few other AC props relatively easy. Added them to my grid view. When I sequence those channels they are the color I picked for them. Other than the actual channel names not being the color of the actual lights, I dont see much of a difference between S4 and S5 on how you do your sequencing. I still use groups in S5, except now it will group them for you. Tracks became views. I didnt want to have to learn a new program and S5 was just familiar enough but added the features we needed. Love the preview, i can see if you didnt have a second monitor there could be a problem, cant imagine sequencing without one. This program is nothing like xlights, (thank goodness), sure there is a lot of commonality, that is just because they both accomplish the same thing.
  19. It has to be a link to another site. There is a very minimum upload space on these forums.
  20. Yes, I was referring to S4. I have a virtual machine running S4.
  21. The visualizer will allow you to change the 50 to 75. Very easy to create a 16x75 tree, unless I am not understanding something.
  22. Although I do sequence my whole display in SS, in a world where you used each software to the best of it abilities, I think SS is more designed to matrix type props and the pixel editor or now the grid would be better suited for roof lines and such things. I personalty just like to knock it all out in one software and then add some finishing touches in the editor. If they added morphs and shockwave effects to the editor would be icing on the cake.
  23. One of the new features in S5 is the preview. It use to be viewing your previous years sequence was a pain. Have to open up last years visualizer play last years sequence. Then change to this years visualizer and play this years sequence. In S5, open both sequences and just hit play, it will use the preview that was assigned to it. In the process of converting last years sequences to this years layout, this is so handy.
