  1. It's been many years since posting on this but thought I would report back. All my 30 LED floods I hacked during the creation of this post are still going strong. Every single one of them.
  2. Tomorrow is the Central Oklahoma Mini!!!!!! Hope to see ya there.
  3. Looks more like a display and not a show. I wonder if the Mad Grab sale is what financially set him in a rut.
  4. And you get to meet great people like JR Thanks for your input JR. We're going to miss you.
  5. First off, welcome to the forum and this crazy bunch of people. I wouldn't call posting the event on February 1st a short notice but hope you can make it. I think you will find very worth your time, especially if your brand new. Even if you can just stop by for an hour or two, it will be worth it. Hope to see ya there. Tom
  6. Between this forum and the LOR facebook groups, there's no way I could miss the sale if I wanted to. Something to consider for the future. Queue into this forum starting in March and stay in touch. Also, join LOR groups on facebook. I guarantee you won't miss it doing these two things. Guaranteed.

  8. I'm pretty much the same way.
  9. Greetings all, just bumping this post from OkieGirl (Liz). There is a link to the Oklahoma Christmas Light Enthusiast facebook group. Please join the group if interested, especially if interested in attending (please RSVP) the mini in two weeks. Thank you, Tom
  10. Anyone who shows interest here will be shared with Liz so everyone will be on the same list. And I think we both are in the same ball park when it comes to eating.
  11. 4 WEEKS !!!! 4 weeks (from yesterday) is the Central Oklahoma Mini. If you are interested in attending, please PM me and I'll add you to the invite list. We are getting a head count for charis/tables and food. So please contact me if interested. Thank you, Tom
  12. Gotcha beat JR. I'm just being lazy.
  13. Don't forget about the replacement Tie Ends as well for another $13.52. You buy the spool, you might also need to buy these. For the kit, spare material (running out during setup is not an option) and shipping, It came out to $94.06 for my location. I'm sure it can be handy and possibly save some time in some uses, but I think I'll stick with old-school handling for a while. Besides, I like gathering, raking and sweeping all the wasted cut ends and used tie wraps on the ground and roof after each season. LOL And thank you for sharing what you found.
  14. IMO, it's not a V5 /S5 issue. I've ran into the same problem with earlier versions if I didn't have all the channels completely off the last second or two. Kinda made since to me way back then and now just common practice every time I create a new sequence. But glad to hear that's what your problem was.
  15. Kinda hard to tell being so close to the lights in the video. But I'll take your word for it.
  16. May be a good idea for some but not for me. Something else to carry around. Something else to misplace/lose. Different tension for different application throughout my display Cheaper with not buying it. Slows down progress (gotta handle the tool and material). and lastly, manually working zipties by hand has worked fast and flawless for decades.
  17. Jack, Make sure all channels are completely off (no lights) a second or so at the end of the sequence. Your sequence may be a touch longer at the end than the audio when the sequence ends and any command for lights to be on will stay that way until you close the sequence editor or the show restarts. Pulling power and connecting power won't do anything because the computer/sequence is still telling the controllers what to do at that point in the sequence. Play the sequence/s to the very end to make sure ALL channels are off/no light commands at the end of the audio/sequence. And welcome aboard. tom
