Sure my place to put a display in is very small. That makes it the challenge to create new things for next season. In the small town where we live it goes WOW and that is super cool. For this year Iam trying to make some mini trees with side glow fiber optics. I haven't seen it before so we will see if it stays within our bugget. Not to forget some more controllers. Greatings, Tom van Houts
  2. Almost half a year later and now I find the the to put up my videos of last years season. I was 8 channels short so I doubled 8 channels by relais. It worked fine for last season but now i have to purchase more controlers. Hopefully I'll be able to do it during the summer sales. But for now, here are the links to my videos. You can find them on my website also. http://www.kerstlichtshow.eu Enjoy.......
  3. The video output to your monitor is used for sequences and your other bureau assesoires. The second output you use for your projection. In the sequence software you set the video output to the second monitor/projector. You probebly now how that will be done. Your projector has a maximum video resolution. In that resolution for example 800x600 your video will be shown. If your video is smaller for example 600x400 there is a change that the projection on the second screen is smaller. You have to make sure that your videos constantly have the same resolution. You already have two video outputs so you don't need another videocard. The above doesn't change anything to the visibility of the frame from the Mediaplayer by switching from sequence to sequence. By the way, In my case the videos only work in WMplayer classic. I hope this will help you.
  4. The first question I can't answer because it never happened to me. The first ting what comes to my mind is a different resolution between your videos. About your second question. I have the same problem. For the video I use a projector as second monitor for the video in my christmas display. Between the sequences the mediaplayer shuts down and will be reopend. I've tried to find the problem in the showbuilder, the sequence editor and in the WM player without any luck. The only conclusion is that after the showbuilder is done playing the sequence includin' the video it closes the WM player. when the next sequence starts the player will be opened again and you will see the frame of the WMplayer for a brief moment. As far as I know there is no way to work around it. Iam sorry. Greatings, Tom van Houts
  5. Great, Missed it that's 2am in the Netherlands. And I need some controllers for next year season. Hope that the summesale will bring me more luck.....
  6. Last year we used a video projector also a optima in our garden. To keep it from freezing we put a frost protector in the enclosure. This keeps the temperature just above the freezing point. When timerswitch 1 turns on the mainpower a few minutes before the show, it projects a clock that I use on the windows background. 5 minutes after the show timerswitch 2 cuts of the mainpower of the display and switches a relay that cuts of the sync sigal from the computer to the projector. The projector shuts down after the cool down period because it doesn't get a sync signal anymore. After a few minutes timerswitch 1 shut down the mainpower for the projector. The configuration of the projector is set to turn on automaticly after powerloss so it turns on the next day and the cycles starts again. This way you will save a lot of power and bulb life. The diference in temperature between off status and working status is about 25 degrees. That's perfect within the workinglimits of the projector. Hope this helps.
  7. I made 5 poles last year with red blue and green lightbulb in the globe. The rest are mostly the same as all the other northpoles. Look at my website http://kerstlichtshow.eu/photo/category/2-2010.html The poles are positioned with ropes to the ground. Next year I will place them in conrete stand. Attached files
  8. miaskiewicz christian schreef: Thanks, They are on my website also. This time shown with the song title. Your display is asome to. Very nice job how you did do the snowman. How many channels did you use for it? Iam curious what we all will find out to put on the next seasonchristmas lightshows.
  9. Hello, Here I am again. for Christmas 2010 I have shot a video of my entire lightshow about one hour long. Unfortunatly when it all looked good I slipt and my camera broke. I had to film the show with an very old Camera so Iam sorry for the quality of the video's. Above that all I put some video's on vimeo to join the contest and after a few days my video's where not there anymore !!!!!! But yet.... Iam back and my 20 video's are shown by the links below. ENJOY and I hope you like them. http://www.vimeo.com/21030461 http://www.vimeo.com/21030445 http://www.vimeo.com/21030433 http://www.vimeo.com/21030413 http://www.vimeo.com/21030400 http://www.vimeo.com/21030391 http://www.vimeo.com/21030373 http://www.vimeo.com/21030311 http://www.vimeo.com/21030114 http://www.vimeo.com/20979754 http://www.vimeo.com/20979700 http://www.vimeo.com/20979663 http://www.vimeo.com/20979637 http://www.vimeo.com/20979623 http://www.vimeo.com/20979511 http://www.vimeo.com/20979508 http://www.vimeo.com/20979499 http://www.vimeo.com/20979417 http://www.vimeo.com/20979362 http://www.vimeo.com/20979250
  10. We don't want to be to exact in the measurements of the frontyard. My projector is a optima DS316L with auto power on after powerloss and a auto power off. I use a timerswitch to power on my controllers at 4.30 PM. At 4.45 PM I power on my projector. My music lightshows starts at 5.00 PM and runs till 10.30 PM. Then a timerswitch powers down my controllers. A relais switch cuts off the clock signal from my VGA cable. So the projector will shut itself down when the lightbulb is cooled down. a few minutes later the power to the projector shuts down by the timerswitch. Now there is no power consumption in my frontyard. The next day it starts all over again. All lights, controllers powersupply's and projector are chained to my burglary alarm so everyting is secure. It works great. Because of the fan in the top of the barrel the temperature during the show will stay around °77 During the night it stays around °37 by using a tiny heater. The outdoor temperature is about °9. If I remove the fan the temperature will rise up to °113. This will keep the projector going without problems. My computer keeps running because I use it for my weather station. And to update it to my website.
  11. Thanks Ron, My front garden is about 196.850" x 196.850". So i have a little space to play with the 48 channels. For next year i have to cut the bushes. The right side of the light display is not completly visible. But I been thinking what will I put into the display next year. We will see. I hope that the show will become more spectaculair next season. I can't wait.
  12. Hello to all, Finaly I have managed it to put my christmas display video's of the complete playlist 2010 online. We talk about twenty sequenced songs with a total playtime around the 55 minutes. For The christmas display 2010 we made a little video screen. To project from the rear we had to put the beamer in a closed barrel with a little heater to keep the colt outside. You can find some photo's on my website At this time take a look at my video's on: http://vimeo.com/user4920114/videos/sort:date In about 4 weeks i hope that i can put the video's on my christmas display website: http://www.kerstlichtshow.eu At this time there are photo's of the christmas lightdisplay and some background information available. Come on and take a look. If you visit the website take your time to sign my guestbook. Tom.

    I'm in the UK...

Hi Lee, Iam using lor controlers for 2 years now. I just love them. They works great. You can use them in the UK without any problems. You can get the AC plugs in the electric malls nearby your house. Still there's also a LOR partner around the UK. Look them up on the lightorama homepage under partner. Before you buy a controller you can download the demo of the software to play around with. Greatings, Tom (The Netherlands)
  14. Hi, Iam in the Netherlands (Europe). I decided to put my projector outside because i can't project through the window. There's an angel to the streetside. So I put my projector in a barrel against the fenche. The barrel has a hole covert with a piece of clear PVC. You can see the video through a sheet hanging in a circle by springs. This way the wind has no change to rip the screen apart. I put a relais to the 24V power. When the Power of the controlers will be cut, the switch contact of the relais cuts the clock signal from the projector. and the projector shuts down, in my case after 1 minute. Then the automatic clock will cut the power. When I start the show half an hour before the controllers will be powered on. then 15 minutes before the show the projector powers on. And then....... Showtime..... It works great to me. For some photo's visit my website. see my link below.
