  6. I am adding video this year, and bought a projector to use. Had some issues with it, and have had to return it. Now I'm looking again for a projector that won't break the bank. What projectors do you guys use? I'm looking at this one: http://www.amazon.com/Epson-Projector-Portable-lumens-brightness/dp/B005LMWP82/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1350132520&sr=8-1&keywords=projector+epson Thoughts? Thanks for your help!
  7. Some of my strobes have gone out over the years due to moisture. I was wondering if anyone had any experience successfully repairing them? If its the bulb that is the problem, seems like it would be easy enough to solder a new bulb to the circuit board. Otherwise, may get to be more trouble than its worth. These are C9 curtain strobes from www.christmaslightshow.com. Thanks!
  8. Tonight was opening night of my show. Everything was fine during testing, but tonight, I noticed the ribbon on the right started to look dimmer than the other. As the night progressed, it got to the point where it would only display red color. The blue and green are almost non existant. I don't understand how that could happen. Would seem that a pixel would either be good or bad. I've attached a video. both ribbons should look the same in this clip. Will try a reset and making sure that ribbons are plugged in, but if that doesn't work, any ideas? Thanks!
  9. I tell you, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one that has the issue. I just hate to "live" with it this year. Anyway, of interest, Ive noticed it only seems to happen when running in a show, not when playing it from the sequence editor. Also, I'm running XP, and it is set up as a second monitor on the computer. I've tried different resolutions, and it does not make a difference. I'm not 100% sure if I've got the mot up to date version of media player. I'll look into that. Anyone have any other thoughts?
  10. I've used the sequence editor to create a musical sequence based on the video. Then I load that sequence in the show editor in the appropriate place. Its all done with LOR software. I'm on the newest version, advanced license level if that helps. Thanks!
  11. Video showing the problem. Thanks!
  12. I've got a local news caster that is going to do some video for me that will play between songs throughout my show this year. I've got a TV hooked up to the computer through the S video output on my video card. Everything works as it should, except at the end of the video, instead of just going dark, it shows a windows "window" with the video showing for about 0.5 seconds. It is very annoying to have this pop up at the end of every video. I've tried dragging the window off the screen, but it keeps coming back. Anyone got any ideas? I'll post a video of it later today if you can't visualize what I'm talking about. Thanks! Patrick
  13. I too have just opened a ticket (Saturday) for a bad pixel (#2 on my ribbon). Sounds like this is a pretty common problem? Mine went out in the middle of the season last year. Hope it doesn't do that again this year!
  14. I noticed that I have one pixel that would always be green last season. I've started to do some work for this season and have noticed that when I try to make the pixel red or blue, it stays off. It seems that it only gets the intensity signal for the green color. It behaves the same way in both the hardware utility and in the sequence editor. I've looked at the ribbon itself and see no obvious places where it looks like it has been broken. Any ideas?
  15. Don't get ticked for me asking this question, but are you certain you don't have the ribbon set up in "Legacy mode"? I had a similar problem with those same pixels on one of my ribbons. I swore up and down that I had configured them both as normal. In desperation, I checked, and sure enough, the one I was having problems with was set up as "legacy". To check: 1. Open Light O Rama Hardware 2. Click "refresh" 3. Select the problematic Ribbon from the select unit dropdown. 4. Click configure at the bottom. 5. Click on CCR-Config Screen 6. Check that Unit ID Mode says "Normal" and not "Legacy" Hope that helps.
