  1. I am using all A/C controllers only rgb is one strand of cosmic color bulbs. I am all setup to have the controllers inside. None of my controllers are in enclosures they are all bolted to one piece of plywood, with standoffs not right up against the wood. I have an old city home and have an all concrete room under my porch and thats where the sub panel and controllers are. Don't feel like making the investment of buying enclosures and reconfiguring all of my snake cables. I am running 12 16 channel controllers. I was just wondering for those who do mount their controllers inside on there route to get the cables outside. I like the steel wool idea and this time of year the mice are the main concern about getting inside. Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond.
  2. Hello, 1) I currently keep my controllers all mounted inside and have no foreseeable plans to change that. I am curious if anyone has a good way in which they run their wiring outside and keep a pretty good seal. Unfortunately my winding I run through is at ground level so I am always worried about mice using the wire chases to gain entry. any info or pictures of how anyone else has done it would be greatly appreciated. 2) since I mount my controllers inside I am curious if anyone else does this and how they have theirs mounted. I do not have any enclosures for mine, they are mounted on bolts to stand off a piece of pegboard. Thanks, Brad
  3. I know i am in the minority of lor users but i still keep all my controls mounted inside and run the wires out from there. I am looking to see of the people that do this, if anyone has any pictures of how they mounted all of there controllers. I am running the diy kits with the original 16 channel blue boards and then some planet christmas boards as well. Just wanting to revamp my setup and would prefer to keep them inside since I already have all the wiring made up. thank you

  5. just went over and talked to the neighbor again and he was telling me that at times it kills the power completely in the house. it only happens when my lights are on and hasn't happened the past 7 months he has lived he. Im thinking it is something for sure on the power company side of the line. thank you for the quick replies
  6. Hello, This year i didn't get nearly as many lights up as normal somewhere around 15k at the most with 90% of them being leds. Tonight my neighbor came over asking if i could shut them off because he had company coming over, i could tell he felt really bad and expressed how much he liked the lights. He said that inside of his house they were causing lights to dim and flicker. I wasn't sure if there is something i am missing if this could be some sort of "phasing" issue due to the led lights. i am planning on contacting the power company to see if they could assess the situation at the pole. Also i am in a city neighborhood so the neighbors house is 15 feet away with all overhead wires via triplex. Thanks, Brad
  7. Two years ago after Christmas I purchased a lot of the ge cool white led lights. Last year I used them for the first season and afterwards were wrapped up and stored in a plastic tote in the basement. Got them out this year and when I plugged them in almost every strand had a section out, anybody else ever experience anything like that? thanks
