  1. You could also use a PIR sensor located a little high as well to just sense motion a few feet up. I’m not sure the voltage on garage sensors but you could always power it via a Power Supply Unit if need be. I am quite curious to see if a garage sensor would work. I’m about to take mine off my door and try and hook it up. I’ll let ya know how it goes.
  2. Is the servodog still available?
  3. Fuses. I blew one the very first night and was freaking out. Home depot sells then for cheap. They are standard microwave fuses.
  4. Do you log into your Google account at home and on your work computer?
  5. I too would love a copy if you are able to post it Bryan
  6. I'm building everything for Halloween right now. It's going to be an all interactive Disney show. So many relays, switches, servos, and wire in between. I sometimes wish I were addicted to alcohol. It may be cheaper and less stressful!
  7. What are you going to build the ship out of? I am looking to build something and was just curious as to what you may use.
  8. Thank god I am still rather new and only have 3 controllers. I get to relax till the summer
  9. Or when a song comes on the radio and you visualize how it would look on your house
  10. Saw a forum post years ago about how you know when you're addicted to LOR. Best one: When you're more worried about turning your lights on, than turning your wife on. What do you guys have?
  11. You don't have to really "copy" him. I took his ideas and made a ginger bread woman instead. The website can just give you an insight on how yo do a diy singing face.
  12. Welcome to the addiction! If you want to do a singing face I would look into making your own out of coroplast. They have the trees that you can buy but IMO they look like crap. Their mouth movements just are trash. Look at fanamaze.com to get an idea. I can help you too if you want. Bryan
  13. You are so lucky! Lol they are like $40 a sheet here in Florida (home depot)
  14. You get a 4x8 sheet for $25? Where do you live/shop?
  15. Hey! I made a Gingerbread woman from coro and used lights from holiday light express. Little pricey but you will get what you paid for for sure. Her she is with the lights and how the lights fit into the coro.
  16. The is for the advice! I was thinking about 1/2 initially so I may do that then. I am going to anchor it like my mega tress just like you said. It will be 8 feet tall all around so it's going to have some weight. The wind and rain (hopefully not) is what's worrying me.
  17. I think pegboard would be good for the wind issue but the holes may look ugly. I am planning on throwing spotlights on it so you may be able to see all the holes...has anyone used this before? I am thinking about using 1/4 inch plywood. I think homedepot has some for $15 for a 4x8 sheet. I will need about 16 so trying to find ways to cut costs. I am going to have windows/doors. What do you mean by real stage flats, like canvas instead of plywood?
  18. Hey everyone, So I am already thinking about my Halloween display for next year. I am thinking about transforming my house by using plywood. Nothing will be mounted to the house. It will be just standing using 2x4 and sand bags. Just like theater flats. Just wondering if anyone has done this. What thickness plywood/type should I use? What reccomendations like dos/fonts? Bryan
  19. Homemade Gingerbread Woman. Still trying to learn how to capture video with my gopro.
  20. This is so sad! I think I remember that episode. If I can recall correctly, they built their house for the sole purpose of light shows. They had power recepticals and Ethernet plugs throughout their yard and house while it was being built just so they can hook it all up.
