  1. where did you order your moving head lights from? what brand are they?
  2. I appreciate the help. I had my neighbor help me solider the cables but it didn't seem to work as LOR is not seeing it.. LOL on the spin 3 times.. should I click my shoes together 3 times as well and say "I wish this would work I wish this would work I wish this would work?
  3. Once I get this all hooked up. Should Hardware utility recognize the light just like if it was a LOR UNit? or do I have to do something special to get it to recognize it?
  4. don't you have to solder the Ethernet cable to the dmx? I'm not good at that.
  5. I'm not an expert by any means but I might of failed to mention, my show computer is a laptop. Since it has no Ethernet port I use a usb adapter that has an Ethernet port and a few usb ports. I haven't noticed any problems. The adapter was plug in play and the RJ45 with windows 10 was plug n play for me.
  6. Phil, Thanks for the reply. I read that string but it didn't really answer my questions First question, out of the back of the moving head is a dmx connection, the 3 pin round connection. I notice that I can get a converter that goes from DMX to rj45. There are pricey ones and cheap ones. Once I'm converted to rj45, I can just connect to the LOR red rj45 adapter correct? Or can I run it to a switch and set it up like E1.31?
  7. EI 31 does work. It was very easy to setup. I have 3 boxes that are E1.31, I use an cat5 from each one to a switch. This switch is run to another switch (only because I run the cables through a window). My laptiop is connected to the same router that the 2nd switch is connected to. This is a SEPARATE network from my main network. However they are still connected together. I turn off the wifi on my router as well as my laptop. The setup was very easy, I plugged my pixcon16 to my network, went into the LOR network config and configured them with a static ip (the one they pulled on the network).
  8. What are the title of these threads? I'm not finding any from my search
  9. I have a question. I'm looking into getting some moving head DMX lights. Do I need to hook these up to an dmx to Ethernet converter? How would I hook these up to my computer to control them through LOR. Also Is it still difficult to use these in s5?
  10. Can I get acopy? "I agree to not sell or share this sequence with anyone. This request will be used for my private, personal use on my show only.
