  1. Hello Everyone! My family and I are enjoying our first season of RGB lighting - we worked all year to create our first show. The lights were working great for the first few weeks they were lit, but one day one of the controllers and strings stopped working. I tried a few things to troubleshoot the issue: -Hard reset on controller -Reconfigure UID -Resent working software suite, -Etc. After the hard reset of the controller and reconfiguration, the string began working as it was designed to do for two nights, but then, randomly stopped working again. Now, the lights are staying lit 24/7 on my home and oddly are lit in a random color pattern (picture attached). Can anyone please help us resolve this issue? Very frustrating as we are just a few days away from Christmas and we hired a professional photographer to come see the house! One final note - when we reset the controller, it was making a very odd sound, a faint beeping sound until it was reset. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to help out! Happy holidays to all!
  2. Lag when adding to existing sequence

Thanks so much for the detailed response. I plan to give this a chance and will keep you updated with my progress. Happy thanksgiving!
  3. Lag when adding to existing sequence

What's involved in setting up a new network? Apologies I'm a newbie with this stuff. Is it something that can be done without purchasing any additional equipment ?
  4. Hi guys - This season I added an RGB sequence (made in superstar) from LOR to my existing sequence, however, I am now experiencing extreme lag and choppiness in my non-RGB products from last years display for example my arches and mega-trees are not running smoothly at all. I only experience the lag when I combine both sequences in sequence editor Does anyone have a fix for this? Perhaps I am not combining the sequences correctly? any reply would be appreciated as our house-lighting is tonight! Quote Edit Quote this

  6. CCB Colors Domt Match Sequence

Hey guys! Im using superstar to create a sequence for my CCBs, I export to Sequence editor, but when I play the sequence on my physics lights, my lights are showing colors that I did not sequence at all. For example, part of my sequence has all of the lights changing colors in rapid fashion, red, green, white, repeat, but when the colors change between the 3 I see some lights will briefly turn Yellow, Blue and other colors. It's almost as if the command is not reaching the lights fast enough. Is there a way I can fix this? When it gets to the more complex portions of my sequence, my house looks nothing like what I imagined. Thanks!
  7. I'm All Set up! And It's All Wrong!

Thank you all for your responses and feedback. Appeared that the CAT5 cable i was using to daisy chain each controller was faulty. I replaced the wire and TADA! everything seems to be functioning appropriately now. Thanks all!
  8. I'm All Set up! And It's All Wrong!

Seem to be at a bit of an impasse then - not sure why else my PC would only be finding the controller i'm plugged directly into.
  9. I'm All Set up! And It's All Wrong!

Only thing I can potentially think of is selecting the "Auto Configure" button on each controller. I think I may have forgotten this step when I reassigned each unit ID. Is this a necessary step in the process?
  10. I'm All Set up! And It's All Wrong!

Thank you ItsMeBobO. It's my understanding that the second string on the controller takes the subsequent ID of the unit you configure in the Hardware Utility. For example, if I configure the controller to be unit ID 0A - 0A will control string 1 and 0B will control string 2. Is this an incorrect understanding?
  11. I'm All Set up! And It's All Wrong!

Thank you for your response wbaker4/ Yes, Using an RS485 adapter. When configuring each controller all I did was set up a unique unit ID for each. Is there an additional step required to set up it's address ? *side note: I have two controllers with only one string attached which is why we have 12 strings 7 controllers.
  12. I'm All Set up! And It's All Wrong!

Hi Guys! Apologies if a similar question has been asked already, I've searched other threads and couldn't find an exact answer. This is my family's first year using LOR's products. We're very excited to see our house dance. We have a total of 12 strings of CCBs on our house with 7 Controllers (standard green box that comes with the lights). I've daisy-chained the controllers to one another using a standard cat5 cable. When I plug my computer into the final controller, the hardware utility only recognizes the controller that I'm plugged into directly. I've even exported the sequence and visualization I've created into Sequence Editor (configured to all 7 controllers) and yet only the two strings that my computer is directly plugged into are working. I've tested all of the lights previously so I know they are all working. My question is this: Is there something I'm doing wrong with my daisy-chaining of the controllers? Is this a configuration issue with my hardware or software? Fingers crossed that I'm just missing one simple step considering all the lights are already on my house! Thanks all for your help!
  13. Two Strings - One Unit ID

Always seems that as soon as you post to the forums, you find the solution. Seemed to be a configuration issue in Hardware Utility. Thanks all.
  14. Two Strings - One Unit ID

Hello everyone. I'm building a star using two strings of CCPs (100 total pixels) that are plugged into one LOR controller. I'm trying to build the star in Visualizer and export to Superstar for sequencing. Im using CCR draw wizard to draw the two strings - unfortunately, I keep getting an error message staying: "errors and try again. The CCD on Network/Unit Regular/8,when assembled has duplicate pixels. The following fixtures should be checked: --Star Out - CCR 1 (Start Pixel=1 Next start pixel should be 51 or higher.) --Star Mid - CCR 1 (Start Pixel=1)" Unfortunately there's no option to start the next prop at pixel #51. What am I doing wrong? How can I get both strings configured on the same controller?
  15. Configuration Question - Stars

I see this - but I only have the option to start at pixels 1-50. Here's where I'm at . I've imported a picture of the 3-row star. I use CCR draw wizard to draw lights on each star. I first draw the outter star and opt to "create new prop" and set the total pixels the visualizer to create at 50 and do the same for the other two inner stars (drawing props with 30 and 20 pixels respectively. For the first string (outter star) the properties are quite standard. Starting pixel is #1 and I set the Unit ID appropriately. For the second string (inner stars), I only have the option to to start the center star at pixel #1 and then start the inner star at pixel #31. Once these settings are all set. I get the same error saying both fixtures are using the same unit id. Frustrating!
