Looking good so far Greg. Any chance I can get a copy once you've finished the face? I'm hopeless at doing the singing faces, it's so fiddly and time consuming. Don't know how you and Sarge do so many!

  6. Hi Sarge, Is there any chance I could get copies of these sequences from you? I did ask a while ago but never got anything, perhaps you just missed my post, or there was an issue with my email? ozaz@ozaz.org Also, have you ever considered having a shared dropbox folder with your sequences so you don't have to manually send them to each person? just a thought. Cheers

    Another Newbie

Yes, but No. Pretty much what EmmienLightFan said. In Australia, the vast majority of lights that plug into a wall have a transformer (or most often, a transformer/multi-function controller) between the 240V wall plug and the lights (LED or incandescent). Transformer converts to 5V, 12V, 24V or 30V, mostly DC. Some of these transformers can be hacked and run off a LOR AC controller ( CTB16PC ) but as EmmienLightFan there can be issues. For my CTB16PC I ended up finding only 1 type of 240V AC lights I could plug into the LOR controller directly! Blue Wave Flexi Rope Lights 10m (33 feet) which come in Red, Green, Blue, Aqua and Clear. Only available at Masters ( a hardware chain store that's about to be closed down ) Masters Party Lights $35 AUD each! Wrapped around 1.2m (4 feet) plant trainers they make fairly good flashing christmas trees... So no more AC controllers for me, pixels/RGB all the way from now on
  8. any chance I could get a copy? ozaz@ozaz.org

  12. here's a couple of animated gifs from a guy called Logan who's shared a sequence elsewhere (hope he doesn't mind) Import them as a spritesheet (Import/Import from Picture/Import as Spritesheet) it might give you an idea or two

  17. Makes mine I did this year look like rubbish Hey, it was my first year and I've only got 1 LOR AC controller to play with, so far... a little more info is on my website (which is just as basic as my light show )
  18. Thanks guys some good tips, this will be first year with light show and would hate to have any items stolen/vandalized. I found these 1byone alarms which I can purchase thru ebay here in Australia. You can have multiple sensors and/or receivers.
  19. So did I, though mine showed the card and even had a link to update drivers. But no luck with that. Sorry I can't be of more help. As i said before I ended up getting another laptop. Slightly OT luckily for me i acquired one for free (was being thrown out by IT department as it kept crashing). Quick update to win 10 and it works for about 3-4 hours before freezing. Enough for me to have a play with PE until I can afford a new laptop (spent all my money on LOR boxes ? ) Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
  20. You could use a program like OpenGL Viewer from realtech glview to analyse your computer and find what video card/chip and driver you have.
  21. There may not be one. It will depend on the graphics card/chip in your computer, check the manufacturers website. I ended up having to get another laptop to run PE as the one I had was too old and no updates available to run required OpenGL.
  22. Surprises me a bit, considering video clip starts with 4 singing faces, and again starting at 3:15. Anyway, someone has PM me they have done it. I've asked nicely for a copy. Queen Bohemian Rhapsody - Youtube
  23. Emmien, there's always the sale later in the year (USA Summer), during which they'll have 240V controllers for sale. As I said on one of the other threads about the sale, I got the few things I was after, mostly spares for existing items. Used Paypal with no problems.
  24. Got the few things I was after. yay Mostly spares for existing items: USB-RS485 MP3 Director 2 x CMB-16D-QC
  25. I've found 1 sequence for Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody but was wondering if anyone had any others, especially if anyone has a 4 singing tree faces sequence? if any one does, feel free to email to ozaz@ozaz.org I've found a parody version, which I'm working on the singing faces for (as a newbie this will take me ages and probably look real bad ) , so would like to see how others have done this song as a sequence. All assistance appreciated.
