  1. The answer of 2-1 ratio is very explicit and very useful
  2. What should be a typical width for a 16 strings tree ?
  3. I am looking at building a mega tree for christmas and I am realising that many options are available. I currently built a 360 rig for 16 strings thus giving a 360 degrees view of said tree. My question would be: is the 8 front strings (9 really counting the 90 degrees view) sufficient to display images or should I have built a 180 degrees 16 string setup for that purpose? All you guys with experience, if you were to do it all over from scratch, what would you do ? I also did a 7 foot diameter fore 8 feet high, is there a better proportion/ration I should have used ? The sequences you gus are sharing are built for 8/9/16 strings ? Please advise Your input is greatly appreciated as I am trying to get this thing up and running in the next 10 days, my 16 strings of 92 light each are ready to put up...
  4. I have just found some led aluminum channel which allows us to mount the lights permanently in a clean manner. I am trying to find out if some of you have used them ? Do you have a good lead on a reasonably priced supplier ? Do you recommend clear or frosted plastic covers ? Looking forward to your inputs

    DMX and Pixies

I guess I was trying to use regular networks to control everything instead of rewiring a bunch of stuff around the house sing I already have extensive network capabilities installed all arount the house. Now seems like I need to rewire everything separately for LOR
  6. I would like a copy sent to faxplus@hotmail.com I agree to not sell or share this sequence with anyone. This request will be used for my private, personal use on my show only. I also understand the mere fact of making changes to the borrowed sequence and pasting it in to my sequence does not make it mine to share.

  15. HI, I woulk like to start looking into motorized props for next year's halloween (i think...) and would love you guys input. Where do you get the motors, cost, what do I need on the LOR side etc. If you guys have exemples of what you built that would be great also. Thanks in advance
  16. Well I must be confused. I have looked at that screen to no avail. I am not seeing anywhere I could change channel names. Let me explain what I am trying to do maybe someone can help I have created a Prop (singing faces) that contains close to 450 rgb lights. For efficiency purposes the strings can run a bit for the head, a bit for a lip and/or eye for example. On top of that a few lights are crossover so they are used in 2 different parts of the prop ( say O-MOUTH and MIDDLE MOUTH. I have 5 strings in that particular prop. My goal is to "group" the different components to make it easier to create different songs. I used 3 channels rgb setup I am trying to rename each "channel' according to its use: orange is head, red is O Mouth, Green is open eye etc As you will see some parts crossover in different strings I want to bulk rename the channels to save the manual labor, is that possible in some way ? Furthermore is it possib;le to create groups from different strings in this setup ? Please advise
  17. I have activated the Channel Level on a 100 light string thus creating 100 channels I want to rename each channel according to their position in my prop but I since I have 9 strings of 100 taht leaves me with 900 channels to manually rename. Is there an easier way ? Please advise
