  1. 40 days

In my pre-show days, I always believed in lights from Thanksgiving through New Years. Since starting a show, and realizing that several people in my neighborhood leave their lights on through January 6th, that's what I do also. So far, I've never had anyone stop and complain about missing my show. I got lucky this year, with both health and weather, and my lights are down, over two full weeks earlier than last year!! This year, I also had NO GFCI trips, and only one computer restart issue (after a power outage). My best year yet!!! Monica
  2. Snowflakes

Bummer! Thanks for the response though. I'm sure some will jump at them!
  3. Snowflakes

Are they warm white, or cool white?
  4. What did you MAD GRAB?

I grabbed two of the 500' SPT-1. Guess I'm committing myself to more work!!
  5. Tripping GFCI

I made wood bases for my mini trees, and dipped my stakes in Plastidip, and with that combo didn't have problems with my mini trees. Next up is wood bases for my reindeer, and snowman!
  6. Anybody lagging in your neighborhood?

My lights have been turned off for almost three weeks, but until a few days ago, the weather was not cooperating (I'm a wimp and won't go out if it's too cold, or raining....too many health issues). The weather finally got semi decent, and of course I got sick!! Hoping that I'm better before the weather turns again! I'm in a HOA, and lights are supposed to be down by February 1, but I don't think it's gonna happen. If I get a nasty-gram from the HOA, so be it!!
  7. T shirts ideas.

I would totally order one of these if available somewhere!!!
  8. Thunderstruck ac/dc or similar

I'd love a copy too, for when I either start learning to sequence, or get a helper. Thanks!! Jackson_monica@hotmail.com Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. One Little Hickup This Year

I think with all you have going on, that it would be more than reasonable to take this year off. Wishing you a quick recovery, quick repairs, etc. Monica
  10. rock style christmas songs FACES

I'd be interested also. Jackson_monica@hotmail.com Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hurricane Matthew on the way to Florida

Wishing you, and everyone else, well. Things can be replaced, people can't, be safe!
  12. Controller Boxes

How many are you looking for? I have some that my husband ordered (I think from holidaycoro), not realizing that the controllers already came with. If interested, contact me via PM and I can provide actual photos, measurements and also figure out price.
  13. The Last Show

The 3rd was going to be my last night, then neighbors had their lights still on, so I turned mine back on. I kinda started taking a little down today, but the rest is still running. Helps me feel better that last night when I got home, there was a car parked out front. Ended up talking to the couple for 20 minutes, or more. So I know people are still finding, and enjoying the show. Tonight will probably be the last night, because I want to make a serious attempt tomorrow at getting more down. My biggest issue is going to be trying to figure out the storage organization. As a widow who inherited the light project, I think I've been infected with CLAP!! On New Years Eve morning, I was at Walmart, spending almost $300 on lights (at 75% off). Right now I'm taking a break from rewiring displays that I bought (incandescent to LED), while watching TV. Already making plans for next year. Checking with the High School to see if there are any Juniors who are kind of tech-ey and would be interested in learning LOR (maybe help me learn it too), and working up a couple of songs for me, for their Senior Project. Not sure if I'll find anyone, but figure it's worth a shot. Regardless, I'm planning to continue on, and try to go bigger next year!!!
  14. Special Dedication to our Daughter....

What a perfect song!! I will keep your daughter in my thoughts. My Mom was recently diagnosed for a second time, after being clear for over 20 years. My Grandma was a 60 year survivor, and one of my Mom's cousins is a 15-18 year survivor. I hope your daughter kicks cancers butt big time!!! Hugs to her!!
