    SPT wire

    I got these this year...shipping wasn't bad. http://www.noveltylights.com/male-and-female-vampire-plugs
  2. If you buy the LOR FM Transmitter, you can use Batteries...That is what I plan on doing this year. The director will not power the FM transmitter, at least as far as I know.
  3. Took down what I had up and came up with this setup....cords were off the ground, and was able to make it 360...I was happily surpised how full it looked after getting it up and see it light at night. Those photos to come once I finish! Thanks again for the help! https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2eYvLk08K5EbzJRQndlYVpma2I3ODVHMHVYcGZfVDZkbUR3
  4. Quick question...When ordering Male and Female plugs for my STP 2 wire...I ordered SPT 1 Male ends (accidentally) and SPT 2 Female ends. I was able to use the SPT 1 Male ends to make an extension cord, but just wanted to check to see if this was a risk due to the difference in insulation. The cord worked when I used the SPT 1 Male and The SPT 2 Female. Anyone have an input as to why this would be a bad thing or be dangerous? Thanks for the feedback.
  5. And here is this year's setup...so far. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2eYvLk08K5EWEVyZ0pZV2pOY1ZTcTc5U1ljMlk2dG1HVWlJ

  7. Thanks! I'll post a photo once I've got the tree finished.
  8. Sounds like a plan...Math isn't my strongest subject. Thank you for the feedback!

  12. I know it is late...and I already have my Mega Tree up...but I am still struggling with how it is setup, and how full it will be. I have a 10 Pole, with a Standard hook head, and a 2ft star, C5 Lights (Multi Color and White) 70 Lights per strand (32 strands 16 Color, 16 White) I am only doing a half tree...and have 16 stakes that are 9.5 inches apart with a 4ft Radius. I would like to do 16 channels, but I am lost when it comes to stringing the lights up and would like some help...I can adjust or take notes for next year...The strands are long enough, but I have a lot of extra after going from the stake to the hook head, should I get a high count of lights for a longer strand. I like the shape of the tree...skinnier. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Overall I would like it fuller...I have read multiple posts, and blogs...still having issues! Thanks for your tips and suggestions. Chris
  13. @Premier Thanks for the idea...I never thought about doing the Mega Tree that way.
