  1. Hi Folks, I edit my sequences on my main computer but use a laptop for the show and of course the directories don't match so in the past I've manually created the folders where the video files were stored but is there a way in LOTR to change the video location so I don't have to do it every time I add on to my sequence?
  2. Hi Folks, I recently bought a JBL Boombox for my Halloween setup and wanted to see if my light o rama display could stay in sync with the speaker so while I mowed the lawn I turned on the sequence editor on the laptop in my house (using a usb 5.0 dongle for the bluetooth) and ran my display with the speaker out front about 30 feet away. My laptop is pretty old but thankfully that didn't matter. After I finished mowing the display was still going about 30 minutes later but I'm happy to report at least through the sequence editor it stayed in sync! Now if only wireless video would work for the projector! My setup is relatively simple (only 7 channels) but it did stay on target. Hope this helps anyone who thought about toying with using bluetooth speakers with their display but had doubts about whether or not the music would stay in sync with the lights.
  3. God I hate windows updates. I put this on my big kahuna at home but had to let microsoft perform a massive patch. Then halfway it didn't like that I had VM Ware on and I had to remove it and start again. Finally I got it on and it works fine on that PC. This one I think is a lost cause. Thanks to everyone who helped me diagnose this.
  4. It is a wmv I'm going to try another PC and see if I can replicate the problem. I can see the video playing fine. The channels even light up when they are supposed to, just the sequence itself is whited out for some reason.
  5. I only have 7 channels. Its very simple but it is sequenced to a video animation if that matters.
  6. Thanks for that it looks much more like the original but unfortunately my animation is still whited out so it must be something with my computer.
  7. Yeah I got the new key and the new version but it says I need to upgrade the sequence but I have no idea what the settings should be. I left them at default and the sequence isn't there. I'm looking online but does anyone know if there is a doc explaining the conversion from an older version into the newer 5.xx?
  8. I upgraded the license. Hopefully when that goes through I'll uninstall and try again
  9. I never added that to my profile and it wont let me remove it. I only have 3.12.2 EDIT: I found how to edit my version but its not on the list. 3.12.2
  10. Hi Folks, I had to upgrade my OS to windows 10 early this year and went into my Light O Rama sequence editor to look at my sequence for Halloween. It will play but the sequence editor is blank. I'm attaching a pic. Not sure what to do.
  11. Oh no I can run a cable but it goes across the sidewalk and I'm trying to eliminate any cords kids can trip on. I've already buried all power lines for the lights and run them under the sidewalk. This one claims no latency issues https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H7FJ2TF/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A38ECSN629PF0W&psc=1 And with this converter on each side it might work. Might.... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K4W62R4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A14L9DIA3NK9B0&psc=1
  12. I was afraid you guys were going to say something like that. I wonder if wireless hdmi would be a better option. Its more expensive but if I could cut the cord it might be worth it.
  13. Wow really? I never thought I was the only one who thought about wireless video for my display
  14. Hi Folks, We do a show that has both light and video synchronized with light o rama and I've been looking for a way to run wireless video to the projector at night. My projector isn't new so VGA is about as good as I can get but its just singing faces. This is what I thought about using between the laptop and projector https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FB1NTP6/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A3OI2CVBA9DB25&psc=1 Not looking to break the bank.
