  1. I built a database in 2012 of songs, artist, link to song. I allowed people to check which songs they were using. I fid find sobgs i hadnt thought of. Niw i go to www.holidaysequences.com to see what other songs i might use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Svg wont help the fact that your 25x25 matrix just doesnt have enough resolution. Take an svg and put it on any matrix and you will see exactly the same issue. Try building matrices of different sizes: 10x10, 20x20, 25x25, 50x50, 75x75. Drop the same image on each and see the results. This can help u decide how big a matrix u want. To get pictures or movies people gravitate to the p10 panels. A 3x3 panel matrix cost around $250 but gives you a resolution of 48x96. Svg files do not look better on a matrix than png or gif or jpg.   5. Did u look at webinar i did last week on xlights papagayo? Btw, we no longer use the papagayo tab. That was end of life'd in early 2015. That tab was for converting *.pgo files. Assembled $180. Alphapix, pixlite, pixcon, falcon f16v2 all are around $200. In capacity: E682 12 universes unicast, universes Multicast alphapix 32 universes unicast pixlit,pixcon 32 universe unicast, 32 universes multicast falcon16 v2 64 universes unicast, 64 universes multicast.
  7. Two e682's can recrive 12k channels (6k each), falcon can receive 32k channels. E682 sets string type and rgb order in groups of 4 ports, falcon can set yhose on a per port basis. Falcon has a built in oled display and e1.31 monitor, this spring falcon has differential expansion biard allowing lights to be 400' away. If i dpnt need the extra stuff and will be under 12k channels the e682 is rock solid. Did u also look at pixcon controller (16k channels)?   9. Hi john, very nice. So similar to what I do but u captured the steps. One question? On the slide that talks about converting audacity label file into centiseconds, should that be multiply by 100 not by 10?

Matt; u probably could also use Ffmpeg Ffmpeg -r 20 -i frozen.mp4 -s 50x50 frozen.avi This should take the frozen.mp4 movie , resample it to 20fps resize it to 50x50 and then create an avi file.   11. The code for putting text onto a running show was written by capt Murdoch. If u go to falconchristmas.com the code is avail free.
  12. Most people use lcb exports from a model. Now when u paste from the lcb (lor clip board), it only pastes the channels from that model
  13. As I have stated on the web page, every controller works, they all have a happy install base. If you have 16 strings that are all the same type the lights will blink for about the same price. One difference is the falcon beagle bone controller. For $170 u get 16 strings of lights (each string could have 680 nodes). But a big difference is that the beagle one is running FPP so it is also a show player. The e682 is probably one of the best selling controllers for a reason. It works, has great support and a large user base.
  14. Actually, there are two controllers. Dave Pitts is a little bit of an over achiever. Since summer of last year He added whole house model, opengl to xlights 3.6, he then made the first release of xlights 4.0. While doing that he designed two controllers. The falcon16-v2 has a fpga and does 64 universes. With expansion board it can do 32 strings. The falcon16-B has a beagle. Bone black as its core. It does. 100 universes. With two expansion boards it has 48 strings.
  15. post the question on the falconchristmas forum , you will hear all the ways people have done this. since it is running linux, you ca run all sorts of scripts. Scripts to use sensors are available from their script library. photo sensors, temp sensors, relays, motion sensors , big push button switches can all be connected to the fpp and a script that will take different actions depedning on inputs. the FPP forum at http://falconchristmas.com/forum/index.php/board,8.0.html has had over 11,000 posts in 940 threads. lots of discussion. they include premade scripts as part of theinstallation.
