  1. Your wife owes you a nice Christmas present.
  2. Surprisingly I had everything set up by this past Sunday despite getting a late start due to Mother Nature not cooperating (unseasonably cold & windy). This isn't going to be one of our "official" display videos, just a 5 song test to make sure everything is lighting up as it should. The firesticks & leaping arches are new this year so I really wanted to see how they'd look. I forgot to turn on the Nativity scene and couldn't find my camera tripod, sorry for the very shaky video lol. https://youtu.be/lEnYzG1MJpE
  3. Figured I’d post this tonight since many people will be traveling to and from for Thanksgiving Day. Safe travels wherever you may go. Be thankful for your family and friends. JR
  4. My apologies Dan. I won’t guess about the similarities at the “mutual function”. I’m thinking beer didn’t have anything to dO with it. JR
  5. You don't need anything connected to view shows in the visualizer. That's the whole point.
  6. Any length. It will simply repeat. IT will play as long as the show is playing.
  7. I have one of these. Not all fancied up 😛, but I can use it to do any task (clone, copy or just use files). It is OS independent. The attached drive is just another (now USB) drive https://www.amazon.com/AGPtek-Drive-Adapter-Converter-External/dp/B00BIE996S/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1542822658&sr=8-4&keywords=usb+hard+drive+adapter Accepts SATA, PATA (3.5 and 2.5), has its own power so you can even use it wit that old ZIP drive you saved or a CD?DVD drive. Beautiful is not included for $13
  8. And if that doesn’t work or you just don’t want to try, I had the Geek Squad suck the data off a crashed drive. Retrieved 99% for me years ago. But even then, as suggested above, had sequences saved already to some sticks. Good luck and as Bob-O points out, give her your list....
  9. Here is the rope light I use. It's super bright and has no timing issues. Sections that had extra length I just taped over with electrical tape.
  10. http://www1.lightorama.com/sequencing-suite-levels/ Basic Plus or higher. UPGRADE your license. Do NOT renew. Be 1000% sure you use the same email you purchased with to UPGRADE your license.
  11. Marc, you are welcome, as your display expands and I'm sure it will over the years you will see why this hobby grows on you. I had very time walking away from it, this is why I'm selling some stuff now so I don't change my mind (i know I can't my old body) . Good luck and thank you Earle
  12. I would definitely go with this option, especially if you can't find one of those hard drive docking stations. Plus, even if you manage to find a docking station, you still might not be able to read the data. The Geek Squad might actually be your best and quickest option at this point. They're not cheap though: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/geek-squad/geek-squad-data-recovery/pcmcat748300502324.c?id=pcmcat748300502324 I'm thinking you might need the Level 3 service for $1,450 ("Failed or damaged drive") but maybe you'll get lucky and they can do the job for less. You can always try it yourself with the docking station, then if that doesn't work, return the docking station and bring your hard drive to the Geek Squad.
