  2. The 2020 Pacific NW annual CLAP meeting is all set for May 1st & 2nd, in Olympia, WA. This event is all about education and sharing ideas with like minded decorators. We have a great group in the PNW, and we have grown a lot in the 16 years we have been meeting. We will be once again meeting at the Foley Firehouse! By far, one of the best venues for a mini in the country. The car/fire engine barn will again be on display for the attendees. Whether a newbie, or seasoned veteran, everyone will walk away with something. An idea, new friend, or something from one of our many sponsor vendors! We have a great class line up already defined, and will be publishing it in a week or so, once we lock down some details. Sponsor are being lined up for awesome door prizes, and discount codes! This year we will be asking for a $20 voluntary donation to help cover the costs of our event. More info will follow, and if you are not on our email list, and want updates, PM me your address. Its held in confidence, no spam we promise.

  4. Arrangements are done at the prop level in S5. In the future, is there anyway to allow arrangements to be done at the effect level? It would be nice to change arrangements on a motion effect row without changing arragements on the prop itself. Say I select a time on a motion effect row, and there is a dropdown menu that allows me to change the arrangement to verticle stack, horizontal, or whatever only on the time I have selected. If this could be done, we would have more options for making effects. As it goes now, if we change the arrangement, it changes every effect on the motion row. I hope someone can understand what I am trying to say lol. Thanks
  5. certainly..... but remember this is for a very specific application. I carry minimal load on each circuit even if I hadn't tripled up (aka nowhere near the theoretical limits). The reality of this is that, as you point out, this isn't the >100ft light load extension cord, with an indoor multi socket adapter plugged in it which I am sure most people do ;). - It is a more weather proofed solution in which I calculated out the load potential for my application and as I said, its just an idea... people should use it only as inspiration and adapt it suitably for their scenario.
  6. You did say all conductors are 16Ga Current is Additive in a Neutral unless there is a corresponding identical load on the other phase (120-n-120) like a US house is wired. 100W -N-100W will result in near 0 neutral current for a 120/240 feed Since a majority of us do not have (L)14 feeds (4wire, 120/240) to our LOR controllers you need a neutral conductor sized to handle ALL LOADS 100% ( now see you tripled up the the neutral, you now match the CTB Input cord (15A) 👍 The Green needs the same treatment. It in not until you get past 40A, are you allowed to run reduced sized ground (per NEC)
  7. No it is not armoured and so not considered a raceway conduit, I wanted the cable to be flexible but ground conductor is available to the circuit. (I am also confused by your statement. Its a 12 conductor cable, there are 6 pigtails (so 6 hot), which means there are 6 conductors leftover.. Therefore theoretically, with a shared conductor for N and another shared for GND that creates 4 spares (though in my actual case 2 of those are being used for additional shared N and 2 for additional shared GND. I think you are assuming that I ran a neutral for each pigtail. Maybe this will help explain: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4a691froa6vc0ee/12 core.pdf?dl=0
  8. It is not specific, i.e. can be used on any version of S4 or S5. Versions since August 2019 also offer the option to delete any files in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Light-O-Rama" that may have been left after an uninstall. Matt
  9. Matt., a question about Regwipe , if I may. How specific is the Regwipe utility to S5 (or S4) software version. I have various copies collected over the years. I assume one should always use the version for your current version of the software. Is the latest Regwipe backwards compatible with earlier versions? Thanks, Phil
  10. This indicates that there is a problem with your installation! 1) Reboot your computer. After the reboot, make sure no LOR software is running. In particular, if the LOR Control Panel is set to load on computer startup, you will need to right-click on the light bulb icon in the system tray, then select "Unload Light-O-Rama". 2) Uninstall the current version. In Windows 10, this is done from Settings > Apps. In prior versions, go to the Control Panel > Programs and Features. 3) Use the LOR Registry Wipe utility. Available here: http://www1.lightorama.com/downloads/5.4.0/LORRegistryWipe.exe 4) If needed, download the software installation file at http://www1.lightorama.com/sequencing-software-download/. Look for your version of software. The latest is at the top of the page. If you have trouble with the download, try using the 'Alternative Download' button. 5) Reboot the computer again and make sure you're logged in with the administrator privileges. Find the file you downloaded above and run it. Follow the prompts. When the installation is complete, run your tests and you should be good to go.
  11. @MattBrown Thanks for getting this in S5. I will be wrapping up my prop making fun this coming weekend and will be back to working on sequencing. I will let you know how it goes as I used Bob's tool heavily in S4.
  12. We finally got this feature into the S5 Sequencer (version 5.4.0) - in the Paste Special dialog. http://www1.lightorama.com/help/cut_copy_paste.htm A special note when flipping vertical. The logic works by pasting the first row of the clipboard into the last selected row. So copying 10 rows, then selecting the **top-left cell** of the destination, then invoking Paste Special with flip vertical checked will NOT do what you want. Instead, select the **bottom-left cell**, and then Paste Special with flip vertical. Thanks Bob for the inspiration, and creating useful tools for Light-O-Rama users. Matt
  13. I finally got my plexiglass domes in and as soon as I find a little time and the weather cooperates, I will begin this build. Hopefully I will have them both built no later than sometime in the next 4 weeks.
  14. I never had issues like this with S4. But I have been in QA for a while and testing is what I do. I am removing all the LOR controllers so this should not be much of an issue. The only reason I found it was because I was trying to test out another member's sequence that uses an enhanced network. I am not sure why it's complaining about it, but it is.
  15. Very nice looking work.. But 12 core? Is it Armored cable? I ask because you used the 3WIRE pigtails.and unless those Greens are connected to a GROUNDED Armor Braid , you present a hazard opportunity to the unsuspecting that may attach something with the 3rd prong that could possible energize other 3rd prong devices on the same Spider box. IIRC there is also a NEC limit of 6 feet for use of raceway only grounding.. After that, a ground conductor must be used.
  16. hi there, did this every percolate up?
  17. Thought you might be interested to see some modifications I did on a controller. I have a number of regular small props clustered together. I've always had the controller on the periphery with several extension cords connecting them to the controller. After this 2019 season closed I made a plan to change that and attached is the result. The cable is a 12 core 16 gauge cable with all the old connectors moved down to a "distribution box". The current box offers 6 outlets but potentially I could add another 4 with fly leads of longer lengths if needed. Just an idea if you need it.... https://www.dropbox.com/s/4ix03ivjyaccump/IMG_6161.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/wuxjovda9zdyfc8/IMG_6162.jpg?dl=0 Note: the cable glands are weather proof design. 18. Greg, you seem to have a talent at finding some of the most odd errors... I can not duplicate your error. In fact about an hour ago I added four universes to my sequencing computer so I could test a new configuration for the lights on the roof and eves. Normally the regular network is non-enhanced, but AuxA and AuxB are enhanced. I even tried setting the Regular network to Enhanced and it made no difference.

  20. Hello, Does anyone have this old classic for 16 channels or above? Thanks in advance.
  21. Ok... I unchecked the enhanced mode from the LOR tab of the network preferences and I am now able to access my DMX settings. My LOR settings are Regular network on Com 4 Speed 500.0K I enabled Enhanced while trying to figure out how to load another members sequence. I can reproduce this every time now.
  22. Does anyone know the URL to download the LOR clean utility?
  23. @MattBrown When I click on the simple mode button now, I get this error. ============================================================ LORNetworkConfig Run-time '-2147417848 *80010108)': Automation error The object invoked has disconnected from its clients. ============================================================= No idea what this means and never got it before.
  24. Mine worked fine before the upgrade as I was setting up my new controllers. Today I was helping JR set his up and tried to open. This was the first time I tried in 5.4.0. I can change the LOR settings though. Just not the DMX side... very strange. Yes I rebooted several times. Guess I need to get the LOR uninstall cleaner and give it another go. I sort of need the network preferences.
  25. Mine's working fine. just tried it, Have you rebooted.
  26. @MattBrown After upgrading to 5.4.0, I can no longer access the DMX universes of my network preferences under the red light bulb. When I click on a DMX universe, it closes out network preferences. I cannot add or modify my universes or controllers now.
