jerry72
SO looking at building a matrix this year,24x50 roughly 48"x96". I know i can use either pixel nodes or 300/20 strip. Just wondering what looks better on a matrix, the strips or pixels? Video or pics would be good to show the difference. Jerry, I purchased the $75 matrix panel that Holiday Sequences produces. It is a heavy gauge of plastic. It will accept either but I will be using nodes as soon as I get my frame built. I don't think I could have beat the $75 building it myself. Also the nodes I got from China fit very snug in the 12mm holes. One of the best items (prop wise) I have purchased. Go over to their web site. That custom sequence of yours will be graet on it. JR

jerry72
From what I am seeing pixels are prefered. I can have a custom matrix made with 1.875" spacing so get a good look. Edited March 6, 2017 by jerry72

Strips have been on my radar, but clearly aligning then was something that needs some work.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

whitebuck
I am impartial to the Army and the God Bless the USA!!! Did you build the sequence? JRI bought the 16 ccr sequence from Brian B. and then spent hours converting it to my matrix. I have Version #2 Ideas in mind after I add a few more songs.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

jerry72
Nice. I am having boscoyo build mine out of a single piece of material. I figured 1.875 spacing would be good.

Little_b
I built mine out of Nodes using Holiday Coro's Pixel Net I got on sale a while back. If your going to have the matrix closer to the viewers, a closer spacing of the nodes will make it look better, but if it's from a distance, you can make them a little further apart. Mine is a 126 X 63 Pixel Node 3" on center. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIQmFemP5tM
