DMX Controller questions

I am looking at getting into RGB of some sort for next years display and have some questions on a few controllers and the set up of them.  I was able to get a few different DMX controllers from my employer (that we are currently not using in our products any more) and wondering if I should even bother trying to use them or just go with the controllers that LOR sells.  I assume either of the devices I have would require some DIY to get them to go, if they even would.  I am currently running LOR v4.2.12

The first one I have is a - eldoLED LINEARdrive 100/s

second is a DMX decoder - SR-2102BEA DMX512 decoder

If anyone can give me any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.
