These are the speakers that I use mounted outside. (I use outdoor speakers and an FM transmitter) From your original post it's unclear if you have the speakers inside or outside of your attic if they're mounted inside that's most of your problem. Transmitting Sound Outside takes more power than inside you would need an outdoor set of speakers mounted outside pointed at the audience, With a reasonable size amplifier to hook up to your computer, when doing this your volume will be set louder then what you would think you need to hear it outside.

1 you will need Amplified speakers.

2 you will need to mount them outside someplace.

3 you will need to turn them up louder than you would if they were inside.

4 you may get more for your money with a FM transmitter and a tune to sign.

Pyle speakers are not very good and for that price I'll pass,

I would spend a extra $13 and buy a set of Yamaha speakers like these: https://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-NS-AW150WH-Indoor-Outdoor-Speakers/dp/B0001VHARE/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1476728081&sr=1-8&keywords=outdoor+speakers

For the amplifier https://www.amazon.com/SMSL-50Wx2-TDA7492-Amplifier-Adapter/dp/B00F0H8TOC/ref=sr_1_17?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1476728266&sr=1-17&keywords=amplifier

For the transmitter EDM http://www.edmdesign.com/  I would avoid any of the cheap CZH or hlly transmitters mentioned above as they can produce a dirty signal.

I would also recomend a small mixer and usb sound card for the best sound. And if you really want to get crazy (like me :D) use some audio processing equipment.

If you need to do long distance runs to a amplifier or transmitter get 2 DI boxes for left and right stereo these convert the unbalanced audio signal to a balanced XLR I use these DI boxes: https://www.amazon.com/Behringer-DI400P-BEHRINGER-ULTRA-DI/dp/B000KUA8G6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1476728459&sr=8-2&keywords=DI+box NOTE again you will need 2 for stereo.

And if you really want to go pro get 2 of these: https://www.amazon.com/Electro-Voice-ELX112P-Two-Way-Powered-Loudspeaker/dp/B004M8GR3U/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1476728733&sr=8-6&keywords=ev+speakers+12 These are what I use for my show (no FM transmitter have one but don't use it)

Hope this helps!

Keep in mind I'm just trying to guide him in the right direction. If the Sound Outside was more important to me I would have a set of Bose speakers. Yamaha makes a good speaker but the Pyle speakers was just something I had lying around.

Just a thought.  Try plugging in a set of headphones into that same jack on your computer and see if they sound loud.  Wondering if in the computer sound mixer if something is turned down.

Yuck bose is worse then pyle! They use cheap paper drivers and other cheap components.

If money was not a issue I would recommend these https://www.amazon.ca/Definitive-Technology-Outdoor-Speaker-Single/dp/B00170O1HK/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 I use these in our back yard and they are great!

EDIT: I will also bet you that those yamaha speakers will sound just as good if not better then any of the boses outdoor speakers.

The only thing bose is actually good at is marketing their products to make the average person think they sound good.

Sorry for getting off topic.

I had a pair of Bose speakers running in a commercial setting 24/7 for almost 20 years outside (one of the few speakers I tried that can be heard over the nearby road traffic). My brother-in-law is an engineer for Yamaha and I can get all the stuff I really need at a discount (Although I don't abuse this) so there is little brand loyalty to Yamaha. And there's no way I would give up my Bose noise cancelling headphones that I use everyday while sequencing (best $300 I ever spent). No doubt some of the bose stuff is nothing but hype especially when you can find it at places like Sam's Club. Remember not to confuse fact and opinion each product has its unique place and will have different strengths and weaknesses.  In this thread I only stated what I used allowing him to do his own research.

EDM transmitters are great.  The sound is excellent.  I got one in 2008 and it still works fine.

I got my first CZH-05B with their rubber ducky antenna in 2010 (or maybe 2011) to have as a backup.  It was sixty-some bucks delivered - about one third the price of the EDM.  When I listened to it I was amazed.  I'm no audio engineer, but I know when something I hear has nice sound.  And I liked having a microphone jack for live transmission if/when needed.  I say my first CZH because I liked it so much I immediately ordered another one.  I think they had a CZH that broadcast dirty stuff, but since my lights are a family show I passed on that model.
