Most places will offer the extension to you, (including myself) if you want to register it. I was up and running with Synchronized.Christmas shortly after it launched. I do have a domain in the house and a couple of Webservers, but those are internal. The Webservers do use upload bandwidth and my ISP only allows for 853KB Upload...
